It has been
almost a year and a half since Angelica Jones made her debut in Supreme
Championship Wrestling. Most of that
time was spent as a member of Silas World, marching in lock step to the orders
of Silas Mason, doing as she was told.
Then she spent another good portion of her time in SCW fighting for her
freedom from Silas Mason, fighting alongside her daughter Jessica Lasiewicz and
Harmony Fisher. Only after Rise To
Greatness, over a year after making her debut in SCW, was Angelica Jones able
to focus on what was best for herself and not simply on what was best for
someone else. And with her younger
sister Kayla Jones also having made her debut in SCW around the same time, the
Boston native was able to achieve a dream.
Angelica has always made it a point in her career as a professional
wrestler to fight to be the best in the business. She has always fought to be at the top of the
mountain. That has always been the case,
especially for singles competition.
Jones has done everything possible to stay at the top of the food chain.
Now that she
was free from Silas Mason, Angelica Jones had the chance to be the top of the
food chain in tag team wrestling, and not just with anyone, but with her
sister, Kayla Jones. A Sisterhood reunion
was on the horizon.
Granted,
Angelica and Kayla had been tag team champions before, back when Global
Division of Wrestling was still operational.
But that was just one title reign.
One title reign means you’re great but not necessarily that you are the
best. Angelica wanted The Sisterhood to
be recognized as the best tag team in professional wrestling. The Sisterhood reunion was about
accomplishing that goal and now she reigns with her sister Kayla as the GCW
Global Tag Team Champions and, most importantly, as of Under Attack 2015, as
the SCW World Tag Team Champions.
It was a
rough journey. First they fought to a
standstill against Dawn Lohan and Kordy Price of Blood Grove. Then they defeated Adrenaline Rush. Despite this Angelica still didn’t feel
worthy to compete against Standing Room Only.
Still she didn’t feel worthy to get the tag team championship
opportunity against Donovan Kayl and Simon Lyman. But worthy or not is irrelevant now. It is all irrelevant because Angelic and
Kayla went into Under Attack, defeated Standing Room Only, and became SCW World
Tag Team Champions.
The match at
Under Attack featuring Standing Room Only and The Sisterhood was not just a
historic victory for the Jones sisters but it was also a historic moment for
tag team wrestling, a rare moment that saw wrestling all for the motivation of
competition alone and for the revitalization and renewal of tag team wrestling.
It’s been a
few weeks now since Angelica Jones and her sister Kayla won the SCW tag team
titles and now she’s ready to climb back into the ring. This time it will be one on one and it will
be on Breakdown against Dylan Howell.
But before Breakdown and Howell, she has someone else she has to deal
with, another loose end she has to tie up…
…her wife,
Lindsey Carter.
Didn’t know
Angelica was married? Yeah, many have
forgotten about Angelica Jones and her marriage to Lindsey Carter. Jones and her marriage to Carter was
initially a setup by Angelica and her then ally Meagan Collins, all with the
purpose of securing Lindsey’s extreme wealth into their possession via
prenuptial agreement. What no one
anticipated, least of all Meagan Collins, was that Angelica would eventually
grow to have legitimate feelings towards Lindsey.
Even the
most loving of relationships have their bumps in the road. Many of those so-called “bumps” come as a
result of trust, or lack thereof in this case.
At a time when Angelica was being managed by Samantha Hodgson, someone
Lindsey did not like, her lovely wife lied to and manipulated Angelica into
firing Samantha and signing a contract with Silas Mason.
Needless to
say, finding out about how the love of her life lied and manipulated her did
not go over well with Angelica Jones and the two have been separated ever
since. Separated being the key term.
Lindsey knows she cannot get a divorce because of the prenuptial agreement that
gives her entire business empire over to Angelica Jones in the event of a
breakup.
This is what
brings Angelica out to Boston, Massachusetts, her childhood home. She wants to meet Lindsey and talk with her
before she heads out to Des Moines, Iowa for Breakdown. The redhead is in L'Espalier, a fancy,
luxurious, high scale French restaurant in Boston. Jones is not a wealthy individual but despite
this she still enjoys the finer things in life whenever she can and this
particular restaurant has always been one of her favorite spots. In fact, she and Lindsey went here on one of
their first dates.
Jones
definitely loves dressing up to the tilt and this restaurant gives her just the
excuse to do that. She is wearing a
black gorgeous bodycon dress detailed with a chic lace yoke and V-shaped waist
with a wide front and back scoopnecks that lend an air of elegance. Her feet are encased in matching black high
heeled pumps. Her long red hair hangs
unrestrained and straightened to shoulder length.
She sits in
a waiting area, a very swank and luxurious waiting area, just outside of the
main dining area of the restaurant, waiting patiently on Lindsey.
“Are you waiting for someone, madame?”
“hmmm?”
Angelica is
startled to attention as she turns and looks at a waiter, looking on at
her. The small hint of surprise on his
face indicates that he didn’t expect to find a lovely lady like her to be
sitting her all by herself.
“Oh, yes,” Angelica says, smiling warmly
“I am just waiting on a friend.”
Angelica
herself even takes note of how she instinctually referred to Lindsey as a
friend as opposed to a lover or a wife.
The issue of trust is still there.
And it is a strong issue that Angelica knows that the two of them will
have to work through. The waiter nods
and walks away in order to serve other customers. Angelica returns to her waiting and
contemplating….
…the wait is
not long…
“Angelica.”
The voice is
familiar. Angelica turns towards the
entrance and looks to find that her wife Lindsey Carter has just entered the
building. Lovely Lindsey looks
absolutely stunning adorned in a scrolling sequin pattern sleeveless cocktail
dress with a crew neckline. Her feet are
encased in black high heeled sandals.
“Lindsey.”
Angelica
stands up to face her, eye to eye. The
stare down doesn’t last long before the emotions of the two take over and they
embrace in a tight hug. Upon breaking
the hug, a smile forms across Lindsey’s face.
“I’m glad you called.”
Angelica
sighs. “You may not be so glad after we’re
done talking.”
The brunette
shakes her head. “Don’t say that,
Angel. I’ve missed you.”
Despite the
awkward situation and her obvious lack of trust right now, Angelica agrees with
Lindsey, and a smile creeps across her face.
“Yeah, I’ve
missed you too.”
The two take
each other’s hands and turn around in time to meet a waiter, ready to greet
them.
“Bonjour, mesdemoiselles. Une table pour
deux?”
Angelica
nods her head. “Oui s'il vous plaît.”
“Très bien. Suivez-moi.”
The waiter
turns and leads them into the restaurant.
As they follow, Lindsey leans over to whisper into Angelica’s ear.
“I didn’t realize you spoke French?”
“Imagine that.” Angelica says with a
wink.
“Do all waiters here speak French?”
“Some do, some don’t.”
The waiter
leads them to a table by a window. It is
small and can only sit the two of them.
A perfect spot, really. The
waiter places two menus on the table and a wine list. Immediately Angelica takes to the wine list
and points to one of the offerings.
“Une bouteille de merlot, s'il vous plaît.”
The waiter
nods and walks off to fill the order.
Angelica turns back to look at Lindsey.
Carter smiles at the Boston native.
“All I got out of that was Merlot.”
“Yes, I want some wine.” Angelica
smirks. “I might need it.”
Lindsey
frowns. “You keep speaking so
cryptically. Quit it.”
“I can’t.”
“But we’re back together.”
“It’s not that simple, Lindsey, and you know
it.”
“But…”
“No,” Angelica holds up her hand to
silence Lindsey “not until I have my
wine.”
It is almost
as if Angelica knew it was coming. Immediately
after she makes that statement the waiter returns with a bottle of wine and two
glasses. He places the glasses down onto
the table, one in front of Angelica and one in front of Lindsey. Then the waiter pours some wine into the glasses. He leaves the bottle at the table as he walks
off. Angelica takes a sip of the wine,
places it back down on the table, and then sighs.
“Ok, now we’re ready to talk.”
“Angelica, look…”
“No, Lindsey, you’re going to listen to me.”
Angelica’s
voice grows sterner. This is clearly something she has wanted to say for a long
time. Jones takes another sip of wine
and then sighs.
“Marriage is supposed to be built upon
trust, correct?”
Lindsey nods
her head. “Yes.”
“Tell me, then, how can I trust you?” Before
Lindsey can answer Angelica continues. “I
was being managed by Samantha Hodgson and yes, she was a little homophobic.”
“A little?!” Lindsey exclaims. “She wanted you to disavow me!”
“She claimed it was all for public image
purposes.”
“It doesn’t matter.” Lindsey snaps back.
“Wrong is wrong.”
“I agree, but I told you I had Samantha
under control. She and I had come to an
agreement that she would no longer tell me how to handle my personal life and
that she would no longer make any outright homophobic decisions otherwise I
would leave .”
Angelica
sighs and shakes her head. “I shouldn’t
have told you a damn thing but I trusted you with that information. Turns out you used that information in order
to manipulate me into firing her. You
went on to manipulate me into signing a contract with Silas Mason.”
“Angelica, may I please say something?”
“Not yet!”
Angelica
exclaims this loud enough that the restaurant hears it. Angelica’s face grows red with slight embarrassment. She quiets down as she continues.
“Do you realize what it was like to have
Silas Mason controlling my contract?
That bastard damn near broke my sister’s neck!”
“You sure as heel seemed to enjoy being part
of Silas World until Kayla returned to your life.”
Angelica
shakes her head. “Lindsey, don’t even…”
“No, Angel,” Lindsey says, interrupting
Angelica before she can get another word in “you’ve
had your time to talk. Now it’s my time.”
Lindsey
takes a sip of wine and rests her glass down on the table.
“You said earlier that marriage is based
upon trust. And I agree with you that it
should be based upon trust. And I admit
that I wasn’t exactly trustworthy when I lied to you about Samantha and then
manipulated you into signing with Silas.”
Lindsey
shakes her head. “But I’m not the only
one guilty here.”
“What the hell are you talking about?”
Angelica questions angrily.
“Have you so quickly forgotten?” Lindsey
asks with some shock on her face. “This
entire relationship, not just the marriage, was built upon lies!”
She points
an accusatory finger at Angelica. “You
lied to me! You conspired with Meagan
Collins in order to trick me into marrying you!
You had the prenuptial drew up so that if there was ever a break up you
would get everything! All of it was done
to eliminate me as Meagan’s potential business competition. You want to talk about lies? You were the first to lie.”
Angelica
Jones stares deep into Lindsey’s accusing eyes.
The redhead sighs and nods her head as she realizes Lindsey is right.
“You’re right…”
“Of course I’m right.” Lindsey snaps
back. “And you kick me out for
lying? And I come here hoping to make
peace and you give me grief in return?”
Carter
shakes her head. “It doesn’t work like
that, Angelica, and you know it.”
“Maybe this was a mistake.”
“I don’t think so.” Lindsey shakes her
head. “We really did develop feelings for
one another. I really did miss you.”
Lindsey
reaches out and takes Angelica by her hands. “I just think we need to take things slowly.”
Angelica
grins wryly. “It isn’t like we got
together like normal couples do…”
“This is true.” Lindsey remarks. “So maybe we should try…dating…”
“Dating?”
Lindsey nods
her head. “Yeah. I’m not ready to move back in with you
yet. I think we should go about this the
way normal couples do. That’s the only
way we can reestablish that trust and maybe reestablish that love we had for
one another.”
Angelica
smiles. “We could try that.”
Lindsey
holds up her glass of wine. “To a better
future?”
Angelica
clinks her glass with Lindsey’s for the toast. “Yeah, to a better future.”
==========
Angelica
Jones
First In The
Nation
On Camera
==========
The backdrop
is that of the red, white, and blue of the American flag design, waving
proudly. It isn’t long until Angelica
Jones steps into the view from stage right.
The Boston native is wearing a black flame design top, black pants, and
black wrestling boots. She is sporting
her signature black leather jacket and her long red hair hangs unrestrained and
straightened to shoulder length. Her GCW
Global Tag Team Championship belt is draped over her left shoulder and the SCW
World Tag Team Championship belt is draped over her right shoulder.
“It has been almost two months now since me
and my sister Kayla Jones reunited inside of a wrestling ring. It has been almost two months since we got
together and decided that what tag team wrestling needed was a reunification of
The Sisterhood. And look at what me and
Kayla can do in just two months…”
Angelica
holds up one title belt and then the other.
Then she looks at the camera and smiles proudly.
“…we are the GCW Global Tag Team
Champions. But you guys probably don’t
care about that, do you? Well guess
what? We’re also the SCW World Tag Team
Champions. Either way you slice it,
ladies and gentlemen, as of Under Attack, The Sisterhood dominates the tag team
wrestling world.”
She holds
both title belts high over her head. “Love
us or hate us, it doesn’t matter, you’ll have to learn to love it because we’re
going to be the SCW World Tag Team Champions and we are going to be on top of
the tag team mountain for a long time.”
Jones rests
both title belts back over her shoulders. “Under
Attack was a special night for me and not just because I became tag team
champion with my sister, but also because of the fact that The Sisterhood and
Standing Room Only fought it out, toe to toe, all for the sake of competition. Imagine that?
A wrestling match where competition and sportsmanship reigns supreme.”
She points a
finger at the camera. “Then there’s you, Dylan
Howell.”
“It’s ironic, I think, for me to call anyone
a bad memory of a bygone era, but that’s exactly what you are. And it isn’t because of your age. You definitely have plenty of life left in
your career, just as I do. But you are
still the type of scum that gives this industry a bad name. And I’m going to be the one who takes you
out, right here in the great state of Iowa.”
A laugh
escapes Angelica’s lips. “Iowa, home of
the first in the nation primaries, the state where the presidential race really
begins. I don’t think your poll numbers
will go up too high after thousands upon thousands registered voters watch me
kick your ass all over Des Moines.”
“In your defense, I would vote for you over
Donald Trump, but let’s be serious, you are NOT a legitimate presidential
candidate. No legitimate presidential
candidate would be a Kennedy Street lackey.
After all, Dylan, as president which nation should you be representing,
the United States of America or Keenie Nation?”
Angelica
smirks.”I rest my case.”
“The first in the nation primary voters will
get to watch me derail your winning ways and maybe even derail your
presidential career after I humiliate you.
By the time I’m done with you, you won’t be able to show yourself in any
political circle. Maybe, just maybe, you’ll
still have professional wrestling to return to, but even that won’t last long.”
“So come to Iowa, Dylan, bring your
supporters so they can watch they show.
They can watch you step into the ring and stare into the eyes of The
Dragon. You will get to stare into the
eyes of a monster that is ready, willing, and able to tear you limb from
fucking limb.”
Jones smirks
knowingly. “No, that isn’t exactly in the
spirit of competition now is it? My sister is nicer than I am. This is about eliminating and eradicating
scum like you. And Iowa will get to be
the first in the nation to witness Dylan Howell get taken apart.”
