Family Reunion
Scene 1

==========
The life of Angelica Jones has been an insanely crazy roller
coaster of a ride, a ride that has seen a lot of ups but mostly downs that has
driven Jones, on more than one occasion, to a suicidal depression that she has
had to fight through in order to survive.
But now things have changed for the better in so many ways.
The first and foremost way is her personal life. Angelica has made peace with her daughters as
well as all of her ex’s, even the man she thought would never forgive her,
Andreas Lasiewicz. Angelica is also
happily married to Lindsey Carter, and, for the first time, believes that
perhaps love has conquered all of the bad, all of the obstacles, that has been
placed in Angelica’s life.
Secondly there’s her professional life. Angelica began to think that she would never
again reach the top of the mountain and become a world champion. Even with her longtime manager Samantha
Hodgson back by her side all seemed lost.
But she took a risk by dumping Hodgson and trying something
different. She tried out Silas
Mason. Silas Mason immediately proved to
be effective as he secured her a shot at the GFC World Heavyweight Championship
over in Pro-Wrestling Frontier, a shot she capitalized upon to win the gold,
her twelfth world championship in her storied career.
And all that Silas asks in return is loyalty to him and
Silas World and loyalty to the ultimate goal in Supreme Championship Wrestling;
getting the SCW World Heavyweight Championship back around the waist of Kelcey
Wallace. Angelica’s next task is a
simple one…take out Merrick Wiseman.
Wiseman is another hero who stuck his nose into Silas World
business by saving Jake Starr. He’ll
just have to be reminded about what happens to heroes who believe they can
interfere in Silas Mason’s business.
There are consequences and Angelica Jones is that consequence.
And yet there is still one other aspect of her life that has
brightened her mood, possibly greater than anything else. She has made peace with her father, Bart
Jones.
Despite what she may say, she never wanted to disown her
father, but she felt she had to disown him due to what happened following her
mother’s death. Her mother was brutally
raped and murdered and then Bart, instead of manning up and taking care of
Kayla and Angelica on his own, just gave them up to foster care. It was an experience that damn near destroyed
them and, for the longest time, neither sister could forgive their father.
Kayla still doesn’t but Angelica has decided to see this
through. She, better than anyone else,
knows about what it means to need a second chance and thus she is giving her
father one more chance, a chance to redeem himself. A chance to start over.
Currently she is walking around the upstairs area of her
Boston, Massachusetts home, a home she lovingly calls Purgatory, and is heading
towards her daughter Kelly’s bedroom where she hopes to check on her as she is
getting prepared for an important event downstairs.
She may be going on forty but she is still as vivacious as
ever in her tight red dress that hugs every curve. Her feet are encased in red high heeled pumps
and her long red hair hangs unrestrained to shoulder length. This natural beauty was passed on to all
three of her daughters, which she can easily tell as she watches on with a
pride only a mother can have as her middle child, Jessica Lasieiwcz, helps
Angelica’s youngest daughter, Kelly McBride, get finished dressing.
“Hold still while I
fix your hair, Kelly.”
“Ok, Jessie.”
This is an important time for the girls and Angelica wants
them to look their best. This is why
Jessica is in her finest black dress and strappy heeled shoes. Kelly, being as young as she is, is dolled up
but not to the extent of her mother or sister.
She is wearing an ankle length skirt, flats, and a nice blouse.
“Are we almost ready
to see grandpa?”
“Uh, yeah, we’re about
ready.” Jessica responds, patting her younger sister on the head. “But what I want to know is how long our
mother is going to stand there in the doorway watching us?”
Angelica cannot help but chuckle. “I can’t get anything by you, can I Jess?”
Jessica turns around to face her mother, smiling. “No, you can’t.”
A motherly pride exudes Angelica Jones, pro-wrestling’s
fearsome Dragon, as she walks over to her daughters and first embraces Jessica
and then leans over and does the same to Kelly.
She stands back up straight and takes appraisal.
“Jessica, you look so
beautiful.”
“Thanks, mom.”
The red head turns to her youngest daughter, Kelly, whose
originally brown hair has begun to take on a shade of red itself, and smiles
proudly.
“And you, little
Kelly, you look so mature, like a young lady…”
“Thanks, mommy.”
“Well I’m glad you to
girls are ready,” Angelica begins “because
Lindsey has the meal all ready and your grandfather is downstairs excited to
see you.”
“Yay! Grandpa!”
Kelly’s excitement brings a smile to Angelica’s face. She does know that something must have been
wrong for her, her sisters, her mother, and her aunt Kayla to be separated from
the patriarch of the Jones family for so long but she never fully comprehended
the extent of the problem and she just assumed everything was fixed now. But her sisters know better and that is evident
based on the look on Jessica’s face.
Jessica, however, looks less than enthused about this
meeting with her grandfather as she knows exactly what happened that caused
Bart Jones to be disowned from the family for so long. And she could not blame her mother and aunt
Kayla for being angry and resentful towards him. He separated them upon their mother’s death
and basically left them to fend for themselves.
Kayla, for her part, has still refused to even see Bart Jones. Angelica is the one who set this up as she
wants to try and give her father another chance. But deep down inside, Jessica still seems to
agree with Kayla more so than with her own mother right now.
“I can’t wait to see
grandpa!” comes the excited voice of Kelly McBride yet again.
“Well you go on
downstairs, honey.” Angelica pats her on the head. “He’s waiting on you.”
“Yay!”
Kelly rushes out the door and quickly she is gone. Angelica turns and looks curiously at her
other daughter.
“Aren’t you going
downstairs?”
“In a moment.”
Angelica places her hands on her hips. “What’s wrong, Jess?”
She shrugs her shoulders. “I don’t know, mom, maybe I feel a little dirty, maybe I feel wrong
about giving this man, this man who ruined your and Aunt Kayla’s lives, another
chance.”
“Everyone deserves
second chances, Jessie.”
“Everyone?”
Angelica nods her head. “Yes,
everyone. You and I should know that
better than anyone else.”
She runs a hand through Jessica’s long dark hair. “I did some horrible things in my time…to
you and the girls, to your father…to others…yet I’ve been given a second
chance.”
Jessica smirks. “You
were given third and fourth chances.”
“True enough!”
Angelica chuckles. “And then what about
you and Marie? Marie tried to hurt you,
but she realized how wrong she was and sought redemption and you gave her a
second chance, Jessie.”
Jessica nods her head. “Yeah,
I guess I did…”
“That’s all your
grandfather wants, Jessie. He just wants
a second chance.”
Angelica takes Jessica by her hand and motions to the
door. “So, what do you say?”
“Yeah, let’s go…”
While she may not trust her grandfather Bart Jones, Jessica
does trust her mother. Besides, she
raises many good points. Jessica has
witnessed her own family, from her sister Marie to their mother Angelica, and
even Jessica’s own father Andreas Lasiewicz, do things which required them to
receive forgiveness, or a second chance if you will. Jessica had always given up a second chance
and so it seems only fair that she do the same for her grandfather.
They exit the room together and make their way down the flight
of steps until they reach the bottom.
Mother and daughter make their way into the living room where they find
a man, an aged man who clearly looks like he’s been through hell, and despite
this he is still dressed nicely in a polo shirt, nice pants, and expensive
looking black shoes. He is kneeling in
front of young Kelly McBride. The young
girl turns to spot her mother and sister standing there in the living room
doorway and smiles excitedly.
“Mommy! Jessie!”
She motions to the man. “Look, it’s grandpa!”
The man, Bart Jones, turns his head to look at Angelica. “Angelica…”
“Hi, daddy.”
He stands up. Bart
approaches the two women and first embraces Angelica with a hug. He then looks down at Jessica and smiles
proudly.
“This must be
Jessica…”
“Hi Bart…”
Angelica elbows Jessica in the ribs. “Jessie!”
“It’s ok,” Bart
smiles “I haven’t earned that title of
‘grandfather’ from her just yet.”
He kneels down and stares into her eyes. Tears are forming into his eyes, which
present a unique contrast with the determined look on his face.
“But I promise you, I
will do everything within my power to earn your trust, Jessie. You are my beautiful granddaughter and you
deserve so much better than anything I can ever give you.”
The aged patriarch stands back up and gazes into his
daughter’s eyes. “Thank you for this,
Angel.”
“Don’t thank me.” She
begins, fighting back the tears. “They
are your granddaughters. You have every
right to see them.”
“But where’s Marie?”
“Yeah, where’s
Annabelle?” Young Kelly chimes in.
“Um, well,” she
looks over nervously at Jessica “…he
Jess, isn’t supper about ready?”
“Huh?” It takes a
while for her to catch the hint but when she does “…oh yeah!”
She takes Kelly by her hand and starts leading her towards
the dining room. “Come on, Kelly. We’ll worry about that later. I think Lindsey has supper ready.”
“Ok, Jess!”
Angelica watches as her middle child leads the youngest
child out of the room, leaving her alone with her father. Bart is watching as well, watching with awe
and pride at his granddaughters.
“Jessie is a damn fine
older sister.”
“That she is.”
Angelica remarks quietly. “She really cares an awful lot about Kelly.”
“Tell me something,
Angel…was Marie as good an older sister to Jessie as Jessie is to Kelly?”
“That’s complicated.”
Angelia sits down on a nearby sofa and Bart joins her.
“At first she was but things
changed when she decided to follow in my footsteps and become a professional
wrestler.”
“What happened?”
“Being in the
spotlight got her name out there in the public.
That attracted the attention of Kimberly Williams…”
“Williams…as in…?”
His voice trails off as he gazes at his daughter, who just
nods her head in response, giving him the answer he expected.
“Yeah, Sean’s daughter
with Emma Storm, Marie’s half-sister.
She was crazy jealous and tried to destroy her outright and then she
tried to use her, tried to manipulate her into doing her dirty work. Kimberly even convinced poor Marie to attack
Jessie.”
“My God…” Bart is
stunned by these words but Angelica is not done yet.
“Oh it’s ok, Marie and
Jessie worked it out, and Kimberly is now in a mental asylum where she is no
longer a threat, but I fear Kimberly’s constant attacks and harassment has hurt
her self-confidence.”
Angelica lets out a sigh. “She’s fallen in with a bad crowd, daddy, and she thinks she needs them
to be successful.”
“How is that any
different from you and Silas Mason?”
Angelica sits up quickly, staring into her father’s eyes she
blinks several times.
“How do you know about
Silas?”
“I’m not an idiot.”
He grins knowingly. “Besides, I have
followed your wrestling career.”
Angelica lets out a slight laugh. “Ok, fine, you got me…and yes, I used to have that same confidence
problem when I was with Samantha Hodgson, which, might I add, is another reason
I’m worried about Marie…”
“Obviously.”
“…but I figured out
that I didn’t need Samantha to get ahead so I dumped her. My arrangement with Silas is a different
understanding. I know exactly who is
fighting these battles and winning these matches.”
She pats herself on her chest. “Me. I defeated Alec Jacobs and
went on to last over thirty minutes in the Taking Hold of the Flame
rumble. Silas Mason got me a rematch for
the GFC World Heavyweight Championship but it was me who kicked Chandler
Scott’s ass all over the arena that night.
The reason why my relationship with Silas has been working out so well
is because we understand the part we each play in this game.”
“And have you
explained this to Marie?”
Angelica nods her head. “Yes…”
“Then you’ve done all
you can.” He sighs. “I know it’s
tough, it’s the most difficult part of watching your children grow up, and
that’s that sometimes you can move heaven and earth and still you’ll have to
watch them make their own mistakes. At the
end of the day you have to pray they’ll learn from it.”
Angelia chuckles. “You
sound like you’re speaking from experience.”
“Believe me, I am.”
The two share a laugh.
Angelica nods her head. “Thanks,
daddy.”
“Don’t mention it,
sweetie.” He leans in and kisses her on her forehead. “But tell you what, if you’re still worried about Marie, why don’t you
let me talk to her?
“I’d…” she smiles “…I’d appreciate that, dad.”

Family Reunion
Scene 2
Off Camera
==========
The family night went off without a hitch. Lindsey Carter’s cooking, as usual, was
delicious and everyone enjoyed themselves.
Bart Jones, the former black sheep of the Jones family, had begun his
renewal. He had begun his acceptance
back into the fold as he wined and dined with his daughter, her wife, and two
of his grandchildren. It was a nearly
perfect evening and yet, as perfectly wonderful as it was, still there are
things that weigh upon the mind of the lovely Dragon of professional wrestling
and it is those heavy thoughts and concerns that keep her in the bathroom at
this point, just staring at herself, her reflection in the mirror, the
reflection of a torn beauty. Outside she
couldn’t look any more lovely, or sexy, wearing a sheer mesh babydoll with a
flyaway front with a sparkling daisy embroidery and satin trim and a matching
bikini panty. But inside there is
dilemma.
“Angel, babe, are you
coming to bed?”
“Yeah…”
She forces a smile upon her face as she turns and exits the
bathroom, finding her lovely wife Lindsey Carter sitting up in bed wearing a
lacy halter babydoll that is fit to flirt in the same super soft, stretchy lace
as the matching lace thong panty, with a mesh flyaway front. That sexy view is irresistible for Angelica
as she makes her way over to the bed and kisses Lindsey on the lips as she
climbs into the bed with her.
“I didn’t keep you
long, did I?”
“Ten seconds is too
long away from you, babe.”
“Quit lying.”
Lindsey swings one of her legs over Angelica’s lovely
curvaceous body while keeping the other stationary so that she is now mounting
Jones. The two women stare at one
another, Lindsey like a lion about to pounce while Angelica just shudders with
a joyful expectation. The brunette
begins to kiss her furiously until Angelica turns her over where she is now on
top and she continues the kissing. Now
Lindsey, who is used to being the submissive in this relationship, just lays
back and takes it all, until her lover suddenly stops without any warning.
“What’s wrong?” Lindsey asks as Angelica turns back over,
lying on her back on the bed next to Lindsey. “Why’d you stop?”
“I don’t know,
Lindsey…something just feels wrong…”
“Is it something I
did?”
Angelica shakes her head.
“No, it isn’t you, it’s just…”
Lindsey frowns. “It’s
your dad, isn’t it?”
Lindsey Carter and Angelica Jones haven’t been married for
long but they have been married long enough for them to get to know each other
really well. Lindsey can sense what is
wrong with Angelica. It makes sense,
really. You haven’t had your father in
your life in ages, he suddenly returns, of course you’d be upset. Angelica nods her head, confirming Lindsey’s
suspicions.
“So you weren’t happy
to see your dad back?”
“Oh no, I was happy.”
Angelica smiles. “In fact, I enjoyed this
evening.”
“Good, because I
thought tonight went off real well too.
And your dad was very polite. He
seems very nice.”
“Yeah, well, he’s
trying real hard to win his family back.”
“Let’s see,”
Lindsey begins counting off on her fingers “first
he won you over, he quickly won me over when you introduced us, and from what I
can tell your daughters like him.”
Angelica nods in agreement. “Yes, even Jessica warmed up to him even though she was suspicious at
first.”
“So what’s wrong?”
“Kayla.”
Kayla Jones is Angelica’s younger sister. Kayla has already stated definitively that
she doesn’t want to see their father.
Angelica thinks Kayla needs to, if simply for the fact that she needs to
be able to let go of this grudge. And
then there’s the situation with Kayla’s children. Those are Bart’s
grandchildren. Will he ever get to see
them? That’s doubtful if he and Kayla
cannot get a chance to reconcile.
“Just give it time,
Angel.” Lindsey kisses her on her cheek. “You’ve done all you can. It’s
up to him and Kayla now.”
Angelica smirks. “You
sound like my father.”
“I’ll take that as a
compliment, your dad is a smart man.”
==========
The Dragon
On Camera
==========
“You should have just
stayed out of it.”
The voice comes from a dark, dimly lit room. A spotlight suddenly shines down in the
center of the screen. The clicking of
heels off in the distance is heard.
Angelica Jones then steps into the light. The lovely Dragon is wearing a nice form
fitting red dress the hugs her curves and has a hemline that stops just at her
knee. Her feet are encased in a matching
pair strappy heeled shoes. Her long red
hair hangs down unrestrained to shoulder length. She is wearing her signature black leather
jacket and her GFC World Heavyweight Championship belt is draped over her right
shoulder.
“If I’ve said it once,
I’ve said it a thousand times. Actions
have their consequences. Playing hero
has its consequences. And that, my friends,
is the biggest problem in the industry today.
Too many people feel the incredible urge to play hero when they should
be keeping to their own business.”
The red head sighs. “I
mean, didn’t you have a title match, Merrick?
Didn’t you, Merrick Wiseman, have a US Title Match going on and yet you
had to get involved. You had to stick
your nose into Silas World business.
Kraven and I were dealing with Jake Starr, you could’ve handled your own
business but did you?”
She shakes her head. “No,
you didn’t. You stuck your nose where it
didn’t belong. Well tell me something,
Wiseman. Was it worth it?”
Angelica shrugs her shoulders. “After it was all said and done, was it all worth it? You didn’t save Jake Starr and you lost the
US Championship. So was it worth it to
play hero and to make an enemy of Silas World?”
“Now you get to suffer
the consequences. You will pay the price
for you actions and you will continue to pay until we are finished with
you. And unfortunately for you, you get
to start paying the penalty against the most dangerous monster there is.”
“Namely me.”
Angelica shakes her head. “It’s sad, really. It’s so sad
that talents, athletes like yourself would see fit to make these mistakes. Don’t you see that these mistakes get you
killed, or at the very least shorten your career?”
“That’s what I do,
Merrick. I shorten, and sometimes end, careers. I do it all for Silas Mason. He helped me get this.” She pats her
title belt. “I owe it to him to destroy
whatever pathetic piece of garbage like yourself that gets in his way.”
“Now here you are, a
beaten man, with no championship, coming off of a submission loss, about to set
foot into the ring with The Dragon.” A sinister grin forms across her face.
“Ask yourself one other question as well,
Merrick…”
She pauses dramatically to let him think on it for a moment.
“…are you ready to stare into these eyes?”
She points at her eyes with her first two fingers. “These eyes are the eyes of the devil
herself. Are you prepared to stare into
these eyes, the eyes of the devil, the eyes of The Dragon?”
“No, you’re not.” She
shakes her head. “You may think you’re
ready but you are not ready. You are not
ready for the storm that is on its way, a storm of hell fire that will rain
down upon you and consume you, fire that comes from The Dragon.”
“Now what I want
everyone in SCW to do is to sit back and watch this match, I want everyone to
sit back and pay very close attention to what I do to Merrick Wiseman. This is what happens to those who defy Silas
Mason. This is also what happens when
you come face to face with The Dragon of Professional Wrestling. When you see Merrick Wiseman lying in a pool
of his own blood, know at that moment that is what happens to those who challenge
The Dragon.”
“I’m making an example
out of you, Wiseman, whether you like it or not.”
