Sins of the Father: Interlude

Sins of the Father

The wilderness of Massachusetts, the New England area, it truly is a majestic sight if seen from the air.  Rolling hills and mountaintops extending into the heavens, touching the clouds, all of which are combined with tall, powerful green trees that create an image of near perfection for most individuals, no matter who you are.  It is a peaceful area for the wildlife that lives there as well as any human beings that may call it home.

Not everyone enjoys the lifestyle of living out in the wilderness.  One person in particular who lives just on the outside of this majestic wilderness, but also far from any kind of busy city civilization, is Emma Storm.  The middle aged woman with platinum blonde hair is used to an extravagant lifestyle of luxury and wealth.  But now she finds herself living in a dirty rundown shack off the beaten path.  Many would consider this a way to get away from the hustle and distraction of everyday life.  Emma, however, considers it a curse.  She considers it a punishment for ever being involved with the Jones family, for she blames that family, Angelica Jones in particular, for the loss of her wealth, and thus for the fact she is relegated to living to living in a shack out in the middle of nowhere as opposed to a wealthy mansion where she is used to living.

Emma could have stayed here bottled up in this little shack all by herself and lived the rest of her life happily and quietly, away from the same Jones family who she blames for her current predicament.  But she has returned to public life with the intent on gaining a measure of revenge.

Her return has not gone as well as she had hoped.

Thus far she has learned that Angelica Jones told Kimberly Williams the truth of her background.  Kimberly, who had grown up believing Emma was her mother, now knows that Angelica is really her mother.  She now knows that Emma took her at birth to raise as her own.  Now Kimberly, with that knowledge, is more dangerous than ever.  So Emma had put her focus on Kimberly’s identical twin, the UWA World Champion Marie Annabelle Jones.  Emma had taken Marie as well but instead of keeping her as she kept Kimberly, Emma put Marie in an orphanage.  Emma had hoped to convince Marie to side with her against her mother, Angelica Jones.

Marie had been driven to the brink of insanity due in large part to her claim that she was being stalked by the ghost of her dead father Sean Williams and later on voices she claimed she heard.  Emma tried to use that to her advantage but that backfired.  Marie also wants Emma’s head on a platter.  Emma is thankful Marie did not finish her off when she had dropped in for a visit earlier last week.

Emma isn’t sure if she should try and salvage her relationship with Marie or just forget about it.  She does want revenge but at what cost? She nearly escaped with her life.  What else can she do?

Car headlights stream in through the windows of the shack.  Emma, who had been lying on her bed, immediately jumps up.  This has to be Marie, she thinks.  Marie has returned either to join her…

…or to destroy her.  Either way, Emma must confront Marie.  Now or never.

Emma walks up to the front door of the small shack and opens the door.  She steps outside and expects to see Marie Jones standing there but, much to her surprise, she finds Angelica Jones standing there instead.

Angelica Jones’s face is awash with hate and anger.  She is dressed in black boots, blue denim jeans, and a black long sleeve shirt.  Her long red hair hangs unrestrained to shoulder length.  This isn’t what Emma was expecting.  She was ok with confronting Marie, but not Marie’s mother.  Not Angelica Jones.

“Angelica…”

“That’s my name, Emma.  Don’t wear it out.”

Emma turns and runs back into the shack, slamming the door behind her.  Angelica growls under her breath, shaking her head.

“You do not get away that easily.”

Angelica goes up to the front door and bangs on it and pushes on it with all of her might.  She can tell this shack is shoddy and not well put together.  It shouldn’t be too difficult to eventually put this door down.  Angelica will keep at it until the door opens and she gets her shot at Emma.

Emma and Angelica have been at odds for a very long time.  Emma is a vain and conceited woman.  She always has been, even as a teenager.  So when Emma’s boyfriend Sean Williams left her for Angelica, Emma was not happy.  Not happy at all.

That’s when Emma hatched the plan to ruin Angelica.  Just thinking about it grinds Angelica to the core.  She knew Angelica was a nun and used that fact, the possibility for scandal in Angelica’s life, to threaten her.  Emma agreed to take Angelica’s children off of her hands so that the church would never learn the truth about Sister Angelica’s sexual promiscuity.  But in return, Emma forced Angelica to dump Sean Williams.

Angelica would eventually get one of her twins, Marie, back into her custody.  But it would be over twenty years before Angelica got the other twin, Kimberly, back into her life.  Now Emma appears to be up to her old tricks of trying to destroy the Jones family, interfering once again in the lives of her children.  And now Angelica has had enough.

It’s time to pay the piper.

Eventually, after much pushing, shoving, and banging the front door does give way and Angelica pushes it open.  Jones steps inside and looks around the room but finds nothing.  She notices another room down a very short hallway.  Emma could be there.  Angelica knows she has to be very careful.  Emma is like a caged animal and caged animals are capable of anything.

Jones exits the room and enters the short hallway.  She approaches the other room but just as she gets to the doorway Angelica is tackled to the ground by Emma, who came from out of nowhere within the shadows.

“No!  Not this time!”

Emma punches Angelica in the face several times with a right hand.  Emma then wraps both of her hands around Angelica’s throat and begins squeezing as tightly as she can.

“You took my boyfriend from me!  You took Kimberly from me!  You took my lifestyle from me!  Now you’re here to take my life from me?!”

Emma shakes her head and continues to choke the life from Angelica.

“That won’t happen, Angelica!  I will take your life first!”

After much struggle, Angelica manages to free herself and kick Emma off of her.  Angelica scrambles to her feet only to get tackled back to the ground by Emma.

“You don’t have it in you, Emma!”

“You underestimate me, Angelica!”

Emma once again wraps her hands around Angelica’s throat.

“You took everything from me!  I have NOTHING left to lose!  So don’t tell me that I do not have it in me!”

Once more Angelica manages to wriggle free and kick Emma off of her.  Angelica pulls herself up and turns around to find Emma once again charging.  Only this time Angelica is able to jump out of the way.  Emma slams into the wall headfirst.  Angelica chuckles nastily as she watches Emma stumble backward like a drunkard.

“That wasn’t very smart, Emma.”

Jones takes Emma by the back of her head and then slams Emma’s head into the wall a second time.  Emma drops to her hands and knees.  Angelica rears back and kicks her square in the ribcage.

“You blame me for taking Kimberly from you?  Kimberly is my daughter and YOU took her from me!”

“We…had…”

Emma  coughs up blood.

“…we had an agreement!”

“SHUT UP!”

Angelica kicks Emma in the ribcage a second time.  Angelica kneels down so that she is right in Emma’s face.

“I remember our agreement, Emma.  You took Marie and Kimberly off my hands so that the Church would never know of my pregnancy and my promiscuity.  But I was wrong.  Marie and Kimberly should have received my full devotion from the start.  I should have left the convent right then and there and took care of my children.”

Tears form in Angelica’s eyes.

“But I was frightened.  I didn’t know any life except that life I knew in the convent.  I wasn’t sure I could raise two children and take care of myself outside of the Church.  Instead I left my children in the hands of a sociopath.”

Angelica wraps her hands around Emma’s throat and begins to squeeze tightly.

“A sociopath who left one of my children in an orphanage, without any care as to what may happen to her…and then meanwhile that same sociopath twisted and molded my other child, making her just as deranged and psychotic as you!”

More blood is coughed up, getting all over the hands of Angelica Jones, but she doesn’t seem to care as she continues to squeeze.

“And now you’re back!  Once again you are getting involved in the lives of my children in an attempt to destroy them, to destroy this family, or who knows what else?!”

Jones releases her grip on Emma as it is clear that Emma has lost consciousness.  Angelica shakes her head.

“No more…”

She reaches into her pocket and produces a small handgun.

“…I made the mistake of allowing you the opportunity to try to poison my children once before.  I will not make that mistake again.”

She aims the barrel of the gun directly at Emma’s head.

“What I’m about to do may send me back to the mental asylum…or straight to prison…for the rest of my life.  But no matter.  What I do now is for Marie Annabelle Jones and Kimberly Francis Williams, the two children I failed…”

Angelica begins to cry.

“…I’m sorry for being a failure as a mother, girls!  I hope eliminating this threat will make up for my failure.”

“NO!”

Angelica is startled.  She turns to see a woman with denim blue jeans, simple white tennis shoes, and a black t-shirt at the front of the shack running towards her.  What’s odd about her is the grey veil she has on her head.  The veil isn’t pulled forward, so Angelica can see her face as she gets closer.  The woman looks awfully familiar.

“Don’t do it, Sister Angelica!”

Angelica cocks her head to one side, furrowing her brow out of curiosity.

“How…how did you know I was a Sister?  Who…who are you?”

The nun cautiously approaches Angelica and holds out her hands.

“Give me the gun, Sister Angelica, and I will tell you everything.”

Angelica came here with the intent on ending Emma’s life and thus ending her threat to the Jones family once and for all.  But now that has changed.  Something about this woman, this simple nun, is changing her mind.  Angelica nods her head and hands over the gun.  The nun places it in her pocket and then takes Angelica by the arm.

“Come with me.”

Jones allows herself to be guided back to the front of the shack.  There the nun motions for Angelica to sit down on a nearby couch.  Angelica agrees and sits down.  The nun sits down next to her.  Angelica still can’t help but sense a familiarity with this woman as she gazes deep into her warm, caring eyes.

“Who are you?  And how…how did you know I used to be a Sister?”

The woman grins knowingly.

“Still are, Sister Angelica.  Many of my sisters and other priests may disagree with me, but as far as I am concerned, once you take an oath and an obligation, it is forever.  You cannot simply walk away from it.  So while you may not live in the convent any longer and while you no longer wear the habit, you will always be Sister Angelica to me.”

The woman seems to be in her mid-thirties.  Angelica studies her closely to try and figure out where this sense of familiarity is coming from.  Where does she know her?  Then it hits her.  Like a flash of lightning going off in her head.

“Sister Maria?”

The woman nods her head.

“That’s right, Sister Angelica.  It’s me, Maria.”

Angelica laughs lightly.

“How do you…how do you remember me?  If I recall, you also were rather young when you joined the convent, just like I was.  Though within a year of you joining, I left.”

“I know, you left rather suddenly.  It took the convent by surprise.”

She reaches out and grabs Angelica’s hand.

“But you were there for me during the scary, trying times.”

“Trying times?”

Maria nods her head.

“It wasn’t initially my choice to become a Sister.  My parents made me.”

Angelica sighs.

“That’s right, I remember you telling me about that now.  I still can’t imagine how that must have been like, to enter the religious life the way you did against your will.”

“But you were there for me.  While everyone else was super serious about everything and offered little comfort or consolation, you were the only Sister to ever be just a friend to me.  I would not have survived and become the Sister I am today without you.  I never got to thank you or repay you but now  I get to repay you by making sure you don’t make the biggest mistake of your life.”

Angelica knows Maria is referring to Emma.  Angelica frowns.

“How did you get involved with Emma?”

“She came to me.  Emma and I had been having regular conversations and visits once a month, as she had expressed her interest in rejoining the convent.”

Angelica rolls her eyes.

“Seriously? Did she tell you that she had been manipulating two of my children, Kimberly and Marie, to try and get them to side against me?  Did she tell you that?”

Maria bows her head.

“No, she did not tell me.  But I knew.”

“Then you know why I felt I had to end Emma once and for all.”

Jones fights back the tears.

“It was my fault my children were hurt and poisoned by her once before.  I will not let her do it to them again.”

Maria places a hand on Angelica’s knee.

“I know you must hate Emma for what she did and what she had planned to do, but there are better ways to deal with that anger and that rage.  Channel it...channel it into something more constructive.”

Angelica smirks.

“You mean my wrestling?”

“Good idea.  Wrestling is a good outlet for that anger and rage.  Use it there, in a competitive environment as opposed to using it in an immoral way against your fellow human being.”

“And what about Emma?  What do you suggest I do with Emma?”

“Leave Emma to me.”

The woman squeezes Angelica’s hands tightly.

“But please, Sister Angelica, you have done so well.  You have changed and matured so much since killing Sean Williams.”

Angelica’s eyes grow wide.

“You know of that too?”

Sister Maria nods her head.

“I do.”

“Then how the hell do you still call me Sister Angelica?  You should know I committed a mortal sin.  I’m damned.  It’s over for me.”

Maria shakes her head.

“I do not believe that.  The God I believe in is a forgiving one.  And I think you have been forgiven…I think you have shown remorse for what you did…but don’t throw it away, don’t throw your soul away by murdering Emma Storm.  There may be no way back.”

Angelica stares into the nun’s eyes.  She is genuinely concerned for Angelica and, at the same time, also seems sincere that she wants to help both Angelica and Emma.  Whether she can or not is up for debate.  Angelica begins to cry.

“What…what should I do?”

Sister Maria leans over and embraces the weeping Angelica.

“I’ll help you, Sister Angelica.  I’ll help you just as I am helping Emma.  We’ll get through this together.”

Angelica smiles.

“Thank you, Sister Maria.”

Angelica senses something now as she embraces this old friend.  It is a feeling she has not felt in a very long time…

…a sense of hope.  Hope for a better, brighter future.

The scene before our camera is a regal, majestic one featuring royal purple draperies on the wall, a regal red carpet that leads up a series of three small steps to a golden throne with red cushions, whose red matches the red of the carpets.  The sound of trumpets can be heard in the background, blaring loudly yet triumphantly, almost as if signaling the arrival of a monarch figure.  Just then Angelica Jones emerges onto the set wearing a tight, strapless, form fitting, glittery silver dress with a hemline that stops just above the knee and matching silver heeled sandals.  A scepter is in her right hand.  She ascends the steps and sits upon the throne.

“My name is Angelica Jones and I have made no bones about my status in this industry.  I am and forever will be wrestling royalty.  When it comes to professional wrestling, I am the Queen of Queens, I am the undisputed Queen of the Ring and I do not need some stupid gold trinket to prove it.”

She holds up one finger.

“There is only one gold trinket I seek, and that is the World Heavyweight Championship.  Being World Champion is proof positive that you are the best.  What Selena Frost currently has is proof positive that she is an annoying little uncreative, unoriginal, gimmick stealing little bitch who has to be in every wrestling company on the face of the earth just to win a Queen of the Ring title.”

Jones laughs lightly.

“And yet now I find myself in a three way against Siqua and Kathryn Pearson to determine a new number one contender to the Queen of the Ring Championship.  Ironic.  I could end up number one contender to a championship I have no desire of holding.  I could end up dominating a division I have no desire being in.  Granted, me being the Queen of the ring division’s champion would bring a hell of a lot of dignity back to a division that has taken a drastic nosedive since that snow-biz frozen Elsa bitch took over as its champion.  UWA is probably praying and pleading that I’ll win this three way and move on to become new Queen of the Ring Champion.  But let’s make no mistake about it, boys and girls, I am involved in this for just one purpose and one purpose only…”

She shakes her head.

“…and I’m sorry, but that purpose isn’t to save the UWA Queen of the Ring division.  My purpose in being in this match is to get a one on one match against Selena Frost.  I hate her and I want to gut the little bitch like a fucking fish.  I am the only real Dragon in professional wrestling and I want to prove it to that fraudulent little whore by kicking her ass all over the arena.  But apparently I have to earn my way to Selena?”

Jones shrugs her shoulders.

“I would’ve fought Selena non-title.  The championship isn’t that big of a concern for me.  If Siqua and Pearson cares that damn badly about the title then let them destroy one another over it.  I don’t care.  I just want Frost and I want her ass in the ring one on one. That’s all I want.  But apparently Helms and Bryant won’t just give me that match, even if it is non-title.  I have to beat the two of you to get Selena one on one.  And then, after I beat the two of you and get Selena one on one, I get the added bonus of it being a title match.”

A sly, devilish grin forms across her beautiful features.

“And come to think of it, maybe winning the Queen of the Ring Title won’t be so bad…after all, Selena seems obsessed with that championship.  Unlike normal wrestlers who want to be the world champion, she’s content with being less than the best.  That title is her end all be all.  Taking that championship away from her will probably inflict some sort of mental and emotional trauma upon the frosty whore.”

“Plus, there’s the fact that my career got its start in the women’s division.  I began wrestling in the women’s division of Global Division of Wrestling.  I was a multi-time GDW Women’s Champion before I became the first ever female to become number one contender to the GDW World Championship.  I took full advantage and became the first female to win the GDW World Championship.  So I have a history of taking a women’s division championship and taking it places that the company never could have imagined.  I have a history, as the leader of the women’s locker room, of leading the ladies to greatness.”

Jones stands up.

“It’s time once again to lead the women’s division to greatness.  The women of UWA need a leader and that leader is not Kathryn Pearson.  She has tried time and time again to rekindle that comeback but she has failed over and over again.  She’ll fail the division just as she has failed in her comeback.  Sequa is a follower, not a leader.  The whole “yes master” bullshit we hear out of her as she bows to Ba’al’s every damn whim is getting old.  Siqua is not a leader, either.  And Selena Frost is too damn caught up in herself, she is too damn self-serving and narcissistic to lead anyone but her own damn self.  She doesn’t care about anyone but herself.  So no, Selena Frost is not leader for the women’s division either.”

“But I can be that leader.  I was that leader once before and I can be that leader again.   I will be that leader yet again after I take Pearson and Siqua to school, showing them who the best wrestler in the world really is.  And after I have outclassed and humiliated them in every way imaginable, it will be who takes the next step and ends the Selena Frost era here in UWA.”

Jones smirks.

“Believe THAT bitches.”

Fade to black.

The Boston Massacre

==========
Off Camera
==========

The grin on the face of the Boston native Angelica Jones will probably have to be surgically removed as she walks down the halls of the Fed-Ex Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.  Breakdown has recently come to a close and she was successful in defeating Tommy Valentine, a former SCW World Champion and current number one contender to the SCW Adrenaline Championship.  It was this match and this win in particular that means a great deal more to her than her match at the premier show of the year, Rise To Greatness, in which she faces Justin Davis.

What’s so great about this match in particular?  Defeating Valentine, a hugely successful wrestler in SCW, proves that she can get the job done without her sister Kayla.  And it opened the eyes of the SCW management team.  It opened them to the extent that now her match against Davis takes on a far greater meaning and purpose.  No longer is this simply a battle of egos between two proud Bostonians; this is now a match to see who will get the next opportunity to compete for the SCW Adrenaline Championship.

Gold is what makes Angelica’s world go around in the world of professional wrestling.  She needs it so that she will feel as if she has truly accomplished something.  The fact that she was put on the Rise To Greatness card against Justin Davis in what she thought was a “piss break match” irritated her to no end.

Yes, Davis did issue the challenge and she did accept, but she was expecting the match to be on a Breakdown or on a house show.  A superstar of her caliber should have a bigger match than a mere “Boston challenge” on the biggest show of the year.  As a result of these feelings, Angelica never really took her match against Justin Davis seriously…

...until now.

Now she has a reason to win.  Now this match against Justin Davis has a greater purpose than just to show who is the better fighter out of Boston.  By winning this match, Angelica will position herself in line for an Adrenaline Championship Match against Christy Matthews or Tommy Valentine, whoever is successful at Rise To Greatness.

But she has to defeat Justin Davis in the Boston challenge first, a task which Angelica is quite confident that she can succeed in.  Outside of Tom Brady, she is the greatest talent in the New England area; just ask her yourself.  No one can match her; just ask her yourself.

Why wouldn’t she be smiling?  Everything has gone well for her tonight and she hopes things will continue to go well as she heads into Rise To Greatness to face Justin Davis…

“Get back here!”

…but perhaps not everyone is completely happy with her actions as of late.

Angelica has already changed from her ring gear back into her street clothes.  She is wearing a long black floral print maxi skirt and flip flops with a long sleeve red sweater.  Her gym bag is in her right hand.  She turns around towards the direction of the familiar voice she just heard, and sure enough her thoughts are confirmed…

…her sister Kayla Jones storms her way, also changed back into her street clothes, consisting of denim jeans, black boots, and a black “SCW” t-shirt. Based on the look on Kayla’s face, the younger Jones sibling appears to be more than a little perturbed.  Kayla motions for her older sister to approach her.

“Get over here, Angelica.  We need to talk.”

Angelica rolls her eyes as she obliges, making her way over to her sister.  Once there, she drops her gym bag and folds her arms over her chest.

“What’s wrong?”

“What’s wrong?”

Kayla repeats the question, blinking partially out of curiosity and partially out of pure shock that the question would be asked.

“Did you seriously ask me that?!”

“Yes, what’s wrong Kayla?  I want to know because I truly don’t see anything wrong right now.”

“Really?  Well allow me to name some things right off…”

Kayla holds up one finger.

“Number one, you have been doing everything you can to trash Supreme Championship Wrestling and its flagship premier event Rise To Greatness…”

Angelica shakes her head rather calmly.

“Wrong, sis. I have not trashed Rise To Greatness.  I am very excited about competing at Rise To Greatness, but the match I’m in, well, that’s a different story altogether.”

“If Rise To Greatness means so much to you, then you should be grateful to be involved in any way.”

“I am a big star, Kayla.  We both are.  We deserve so much better, and I deserve better than Justin Davis.”

Kayla rolls her eyes.

“Right, you’re so humble, which I guess justifies you trashing SCW as a whole?”

“Absolutely.”

Kayla sighs.  She slaps her forehead out of frustration.

“I thought we had decided to turn over a new leaf.  I thought we had decided to change.”

She looks up at her older sister.  Kayla has a sense of regret and disappointment written across her face.

“Maybe I was wrong to think you could change?”

Kayla turns to walk away but Angelica reaches out and grabs her by the arm and pulls her back.

“Whoa!  Hold on right there, Kayla…”

“What is it?”

“…we did change.  I did change.  I am no longer the person who mocked and ridiculed this business.  But just because I changed doesn’t mean I can’t call a spade a spade.”

Angelica releases her grip on Kayla as the younger sibling locks eyes with her older sibling.  Angelica’s intensity seems to be kicked up a few notches, despite the fact that her demeanor and voice remain completely and totally calm.

“I’m going to tell you something, Kayla, and it’s something I should not have to tell you because surely you know this already.  Long before SCW, I had been busting my ass for professional wrestling.  I busted my ass for Global Division of Wrestling, Motor City Wrestling, Future Wrestling Alliance; I single handedly rescued the Global Frontier Crown from the Goofballs of Wrestling.  And now I’m here in SCW and I have been busting my ass for SCW ever since I arrived.  And then recently Justin Davis rears his ugly little head with that dumb little Boston Challenge of his.”

Kayla blinks out of curiosity and confusion.

“Dumb little Boston Challenge?  Angelica, you ACCEPTED that challenge!”

She points a finger at Angelica in an almost accusatory manner.

“You stepped up and accepted that match before myself or Corey even had a chance!”

Angelica nods her head.

“You’re right, I did, and you know why I did?  I thought the concept was the stupidest thing ever.  A Boston Challenge to show how tough Bostonians are?  Big deal.  I don’t need to do anything to prove how great we are.  The conception and birth of the United States America took place in Boston.  While other colonies were busy playing with themselves, we were fighting the martial law and iron fisted rule of the British Government.  Which NFL football team has consistently been great, won multiple Super Bowls, and is always in contention to win more?  The New England Patriots.  Yes, Bostonians are tough, and there is no need for a match to prove it.”

Angelica sneers.

“I accepted the match because Justin Davis had the nerve to think he could actually hang in the ring with us!  What’s this noise, this bullshit, about a fight to see who is the best wrestler or fighter out of Boston anyway?  I’m the best in the world, Kayla.”

She firmly, and yet not too hard, smacks Kayla on the chest.

“And if I’m NOT the best in the world, then I’m the SECOND best in the world and YOU, Kayla Marie Shawna Jones, are the best in the world.  But my point is, you and I, The Sisterhood, we are number one and number two in the entire world.  This whole crap about who is the best in Boston was offensive to me.  I wanted to teach him a lesson in respect.”

“Great, fine, if that’s how you want to look at it, then fine.  But you’ll get to at Rise To Greatness.”

Angelica shakes her head.

“Yeah, right, well, that’s the problem.  I never would have accepted this stupid match had I realized it would be scheduled for Rise To Greatness.  I expected this half-assed Boston challenge would take place on a Breakdown.  I’d humiliate him, humble him, and move on to bigger and better things at Rise To Greatness.  Beating up Justin Davis on Breaking was fine, but beating him up on Rise To Greatness?  Not worth my time.  This match at Rise To Greatness, as it was, it was just the piss break match.  And a legend like me deserves far better than the piss break match.  If I’m going to take the piss break match, I need purpose.”

She grins knowingly.

“Oh but now, I have a greater purpose than just beating some respect into this son of a bitch.  I may have been “trashing SCW” as you so eloquently put it, I may have slightly disrespected the match, the event, and Davis himself by calling our match the piss break match, but guess what?  I opened the eyes of SCW management.  I made them sit up and take notice.  And then I sealed the deal by defeating Tommy Valentine here tonight.  Now my match at Rise To Greatness is for a shot at the SCW Adrenaline Championship.”

Angelica wraps an arm around her sister’s shoulder.

“Just think about it, sis.  Just think…you beat Alexis Quinne, but what happened after you lost Jake Starr?  Where were you placed?  Did SCW even consider you at all?”

Angelica waits for an answer but Kayla just remains stoic, staring forward, not even staring at Angelica.

“Well?  Did SCW consider you for a spot at Rise To Greatness at all?”

“No…”

“Right, you had to go out there and make your own spot.  You involved yourself in the women’s division.  But Kayla, you know as well as I do that you are better than the women’s division.”

Kayla pushes her sister’s arm away.  Kayla takes a few steps back.

“No, not this…not right now…”

“Kayla, listen…”

“No, you listen!”

Kayla points a finger at Angelica.  Kayla is clearly getting agitated.

“I see where this is going and I don’t want to discuss this.  We already agreed that we would go our separate ways.”

“We make mistakes all of the time, sis, and that was a mistake on our part.  We never should have broken up The Sisterhood.  We never should have abandoned the tag team division.  The tag team division needs us now more than ever.  And more importantly…”

Angelica reaches out and takes hold of Kayla’s hand, squeezing it tightly.

“…we are stronger together.  We are stronger when we are united.  I don’t mean to get involved in your business all the time, sis, I don’t mean to disparage your GCW Global Tag Team Title reign with Victoria Salinas, but be honest with me, especially now while no one is around and no one is here to tattle this on social media…which team is better?  You and Vicky, or The Sisterhood?”

Kayla sighs and motions to herself and Angelica.

“You and me…The Sisterhood.”

“Exactly.  Now think back to when we first began teaming in SCW.  We were unstoppable.  We held the tag titles of two different companies simultaneously.  We were SCW and GCW Tag Team Champions at the same time.  Wasn’t that amazing?”

Kayla grins knowingly.

“Yeah, it was a pretty amazing feat…”

“And we can do it again.  But we need to be committed to reuniting The Sisterhood.”

Kayla frowns.

“Ok, that sounds good, but Angelica…we both are in number one contender matches at Rise To Greatness.  If we both win our singles title contender matches, what then?”

“Then we win them.  And we’ll take those singles titles too.  BEFORE we broke up SCW management threw me in that damned Shot of Adrenaline Tournament and they threw you in a US Title Match against Ravyn.  They’re not above putting us in singles matches anyway, regardless of whether we WANT singles matches or tag matches.”

Kayla sighs, remembering not too fondly of their squabbles with SCW management.

“Yeah, I know this…”

“So what do you say?  Regardless of what happens at Rise To Greatness, we are going to bring back The Sisterhood and once again dominate tag team wrestling.”

Kayla and Angelica stare into each other’s eyes for quite a long time.  A few tense moments pass before Kayla finally embraces her sister in a tight hug.

“You’re right…we never should have left tag team wrestling…and it’s time we reunited The Sisterhood.”

“And this time, there will be no stopping us.”

A large cylindrical building towers high above its surroundings in Foxborough, Massachusetts.  In the center at the top is the New England Patriot logo with “The Hall” written below it.  Then we see a red overhang and underneath it the same New England Patriot logo with “The Hall” written down.  To its left is The Patriots Pro-Shop and to the right is the entrance to The Hall itself.  This is Patriot Place, where Patriots Nation gather to celebrate their team.  Standing there out in front of this famous building is none other than one of the team’s most famous celebrity fans, SCW superstar Angelica Jones.

Jones is wearing a sophisticated black stretch-knit boat neck sheath dress, a dress that gives off the impression that this Boston native is all business.  Her feet are encased in black high heeled pumps.  Black sunglasses cover her eyes.

“SCW’s premier pay per view event, Rise To Greatness, the event we live for, is now just around the corner.  Despite my attitude in recent weeks, I am truly honored and privileged to be able to compete at Rise To Greatness.  I look forward to showing off my talents, my abilities, and my skills in front of the SCW fans in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.”

Jones shakes her head.

“No, I am not in Milwaukee just yet.  There are a few more stops on the road to Rise To Greatness.  And one of those stops includes this place behind me…”

She turns and motions towards it in a game show girl fashion.

“…you should recognize this place, Justin Davis, but just in case the rest of you do not recognize this place, allow me to inform you that your eyes are now beholding Patriot Place.  Considering Justin Davis and I are competing in a Boston challenge at an event known as Rise To Greatness I thought that the most appropriate setting for me on this particular day would be right here at the home of the team that epitomizes greatness not only in Boston but in all of the NFL…”

She grins knowingly.

“…The New England Patriots!”

Angelica lets it soak in but that smile on her face slowly but surely begins to fade.  Replacing it is an almost disappointed frown.

“Unfortunately, with greatness comes jealousy.  People become jealous of who you are and the success you have had.  Clearly the other teams in the NFL, as well as Roger Goodell himself, are all jealous of the New England Patriots.  Why else would they have continued to push this deflate-gate scandal until the end of the earth until they found a judge who would agree with them and, thus allowed them to penalize the Patriots and Tom Brady?  That was unjust and unfair, and you always have a few options at your disposal when an injustice has been done.  You can either complain about it or you can do something about it.”

“The New England Patriots will do something about the injustice done to them when the season starts.  They will dominate the first four games, even without Tom Brady.  Now I felt as if an injustice had been done to me when SCW had stuck me and Justin Davis in a piss break match at Rise To Greatness.”

Angelica nods her head.

“Yes, Davis, it is a piss break match.  I hate to be the one to break it to you, but the reality of our situation is that SCW just needed a spot for us to fill, and they threw us on the card.  It’s really that simple.  I don’t really give a damn about you, Davis, but I can tell you right now that I deserve better than that.  I deserve better than the piss break match.  I deserve better than to just be randomly thrown on the card at Rise To Greatness.”

She pats herself on the chest.

“I AM greatness, Davis.  Just like the New England Patriots represent greatness in professional football, I represent greatness in professional wrestling.  I deserve better than what I got at Rise To Greatness.  And I did complain about it, I admit, but I also went and I did something about it.  I went and defeated Tommy Valentine on Breakdown.”

“Tommy Valentine is a former SCW World Champion and he is the current number one contender to the SCW Adrenaline Championship.  He is on the verge of becoming Supreme Champion if he can defeat Christy Matthews at Rise To Greatness.  I defeated him on Breakdown.  I beat his ass on Breakdown and yet he gets the title opportunity but not me?  I didn’t have to say a word at that point.  SCW management clearly saw that something was wrong and they immediately fixed it.  Now, our Boston Challenge at Rise To Greatness, it is to determine the next number one contender to the SCW Adrenaline Championship, all because I defeated Valentine.”

Angelica smirks confidently, almost arrogantly.

“You’re welcome.”

“Now perhaps I sounded a bit conceited and arrogant or self-serving but the fact is that now our match has now taken on a whole new meaning.  Before, it was just Justin Davis and Angelica Jones, two Boston warriors with egos clashing to see who is the better fighter.  But now our match is to see which one of us will take that next step, one step closer to a championship?  And for me, that kind of incentive is something I can definitely get behind.”

Jones removes her sunglasses, showing the intensity in her eyes.

“I have to be champion, Justin.  Championships are what drive this sport, not competition alone.  Competition does play a big role but we all have something we’re fighting for, a goal we want to accomplish.  We don’t just fight because we love pain.  Contrary to popular belief, this sport is not full of masochists.  I fight to prove that I am the best and I need the championships to prove that I am the best.”

“Love them or hate them, the New England Patriots, Boston’s team, is still respected for the many Super Bowls that they have won.  Do you really believe that they would be as respected if they had won ZERO Super Bowls?  Do you think they would be taken seriously if they had won ZERO championships?  I’m sorry, but it’s not just competition that drives this sport or any sport for that matter.  Competition AND the desire for championships drives this sport.”

“Now I single handedly gave our match purpose by adding the promise of a future championship opportunity to the mix.  Now people will care a hell of a lot more about our Boston challenge because they know either you or me will be getting a shot at the Adrenaline Championship when the match is over.”

She smirks knowingly.

“Or to be more precise, I will get a shot at the Adrenaline Championship when this is over, because not only do I believe that I am the best wrestler to come out of Boston, but I believe that I am the best wrestler in the world.  And if you want a fight, if you have the nerve to challenge me to a match at Rise To Greatness, then I will gladly accept and I will gladly kick your ass at Rise To Greatness.”

Jones points at the camera.

“It is your funeral, after all.  You were the one who issued the challenge to any member of the Jones family.  My daughter Corey is preoccupied with other things right now, my sister Kayla is far too merciful.  And perhaps you were banking on one of them accepting this challenge?”

She shakes her head.

“You weren’t so lucky.  The Dragon accepted your challenge.  The dangerous member of The Sisterhood, the sadistic violent member of The Sisterhood accepted your challenge.  So if you wanted a fight, you got it, because now this is no longer the Boston challenge, this is The Boston Massacre…”

Angelica places the sunglasses back over her eyes.

“Unhappy Boston!  See thy son deplore, thy hallowed walks besmeared with guiltless gore, while faithless, murderous Jones stretches her bloody hands, like a fierce barbarian grinning over her fallen prey, approve the carnage, and enjoy the day…”

The camera fades to black.
