The Silas World Lottery

==========
Scene 1

==========

Silas Mason is a wanted man, in more ways than one.  In one way, he is wanted for his managerial services.  Angelica Jones and her daughter Marie Annabelle Jones both sought him out for his managerial expertise.  Both wanted him to guide them to superstardom.    Both view Silas Mason as a way to get to where they want to be: at the top of the mountain in professional wrestling.

Not everyone wants him for that reason.  There are those who want him for the purpose of beating the hell out of him and, three individuals in particular, will get the opportunity to do just that; namely Shaun Cruze, Chris Cannon, and Jake Starr.  They each have their own agendas, they each have their own reasons for wanting to take Silas apart, but only one of them will get that opportunity and it will be the one who scores the fall in their match against the Silas World representatives.

Angelica Jones and her tag team partners Brittany Lohan and Harmony Fisher will do everything within their power to make sure none  of them get their hands on Silas Mason.  Especially Angelica.  The Dragon has benefited a great deal from what Silas has done for her and the least she can do is return the favor by giving him a nice gift…for if Silas World wins, then whoever gets pinned, whether it be Cruze, Starr, or Cannon, will have their contract become the sole possession of Silas Mason.

Fighting this battle and gaining a new recruit is just one way Angelica can return the favor to Silas.  And one way, at least, she has already done some recruiting of her own…

The door to an empty dressing room backstage at an IWC Riot event opens wide and two women, one the mother and the other her eldest daughter, comes walking inside.  Both ladies have wide grins on their faces, happily laughing, seemingly with no care in the world.  And for those who know of what’s been going on in their life lately, you would realize that smiles have been a long time coming for at least one of these women.  The younger woman is wearing a black leather skirt that stops just above the knee, black high heeled pumps, and a red long sleeve sweater.  Her long red hair hangs unrestrained to shoulder length.  Her mother is wearing a cream colored sundress, matching sandals, and a black leather jacket.  Her long hair, also red but a darker shade of it, is also left to hang unrestrained to shoulder length.  You may not know it from their casual attire, but these women happen to be true blue wrestling royalty in this industry.  One of the ladies happens to be a first generation wrestler, the other a second generation superstar.  One a current champion, the other a former champion.  Both hall of famers.

“You made a very wise decision out there tonight, Marie.”  The mother tells her daughter while beaming with pride.

“Oh trust me, I know.” The daughter, Marie, answers with a big wide grin of her own that will no doubt have to be surgically removed after all is said and done.

These women come from the famous Jones family of professional wrestling.  This is Angelica Jones and her daughter Marie Annabelle Jones.  Tonight it was made official that Marie Annabelle Jones had quit The Good Movement and had signed with Silas Mason, becoming the newest member of Silas World.  If you had asked either of these women, any of their extended family, or anyone who knew them for that matter, if they would ever be working together under the same umbrella like this, under the same leader, a leader like Silas Mason no less, then they would have told you that you were crazy, that it never would have happened.  And the reason why they thought it never would happen is because of Marie herself.

For Angelica’s part she never truly wanted her children to follow in her footsteps and become pro-wrestlers, and yet so far both of her oldest children have become wrestlers.  The youngest is still to come and if history holds true, then she will also become a wrestler.  Yet, even though she could not convince them that becoming a wrestler is a bad idea, Angelica still wanted to support them in any way she could.  She wanted to be there for them, help them along, and guide them to making wise decisions in their careers.

Angelica Jones remembers, not too fondly, of the harsh realities about the backstage politics within pro-wrestling.  She wanted to shield her daughters from that reality by helping them, by keeping them from making the same mistakes she did.  But they didn’t want to listen to her.  Marie Annabelle Jones, most of all, wanted to make a name for herself.  She didn’t want to just be known as Angelica’s daughter.  She wanted to be recognized for her own achievements, not just for her mother’s.

Thus, Marie had asked her mother to stay out of her career.  Angelica reluctantly agreed to keep her nose out of her daughter’s business.  Angelica had to watch her daughter make mistakes in the Independent Wrestling Cartel.  At least, Angelica considered them mistakes.  She considered seeing Marie become a part of Ethan Von Aaron’s Good Movement a big mistake.  She wanted to step in and tell her but she did not.  She kept her promise to Marie and let her figure things out on her own.  And Marie did eventually figure out that Ethan did not really care about Marie’s success.  Marie figured out that Ethan only cared about two women: Rachel Frost and Alana Starr.

It was then that Marie Annabelle Jones, IWC’s Phoenix, finally came home to the nest and asked her mother for advice.  And her mother was there, ready and willing to guide her to the man she knew would care about Marie’s success, the man who had a proven track record of managerial greatness.  And, to top it all off, it was Angelica’s own manager and thus it would provide yet another way for Angelica to keep an eye out for her daughter…

…she guided Marie to Silas Mason.

Angelica Jones just recruited a new member for Silas World, just little over a week prior to the day that she may very well play a major role in “recruiting”, or more accurately forcing, a new member of Silas World.  Jake Starr, Chris Cannon, and Shaun Cruze all want a piece of Silas Mason and all are willing to put their own careers on the line to get that piece.  In a six person tag against Angelica, Brittany Lohan, and Harmony Fisher, they get the chance to fight Silas Mason…only if they win.  But if they lose, the person who gets pinned must join Silas World.

As important as that match is, right now this time with her daughter is more important than that.  Cruze, Starr, and Cannon may hate Jones and call her, among other things, deluded, delusional, or a sell-out for being with Silas Mason.  But no one can deny that Angelica Jones is a loving, caring mother who would do anything for her family.

“Anyone and anything has to be better than Ethan Von Aaron and his dumb Good Movement.” The younger Jones responds as she sits down on a sofa that is set against a wall.  Her mother joins her on the sofa, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.

“Silas Mason is more than just simply ‘better than Ethan.’” Angelica remarks, correcting her daughter. “He is a man who knows about success.  He guided Brittany Lohan and Harmony Fisher to the world tag team titles in SCW…”

“Oh yeah, Britt!” Marie grins knowingly. “It’ll be great to work with her again.”

“There’s more.” Angelica motions to herself. “Namely me.”

“Right…” Marie’s voice trails off.  This doesn’t seem to phase Angelica in the slightest.

“Since becoming a member of Silas World I have won the GFC World Heavyweight Championship and two GCW Global Heavyweight Championships.  And most recently he helped negotiate the deal that allowed me to buy Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER from CJ Osborne.  I am among the most powerful and influential women in professional wrestling today.”

The Dragon places a comforting hand on her shoulders while smiling lovingly and gazing deep into her daughter’s eyes.  Who would guess that such a sadistic bitch could also be so loving and caring?

“He can do the same for you, Marie.”

“I know.  That’s why I signed with him.  But…”

Angelica tilts her head to one side and frowns. “But what?”

“Don’t get me wrong, mom, I am truly thankful that you put in a good word for me with Silas.  I am definitely grateful to be a part of Silas World but…” her voice trails off, finally she shakes her head “…forget it.”

“No, no,” Angelica shakes her head “tell me.”

Marie sighs. “…look, I know you partially want me in Silas World so you can keep an eye out on me.  I get it and I understand but I ask you to please continue to respect my wishes and stay out of my IWC business.”

Angelica’s face grows crestfallen, disappointed.  “Marie…”

“I can handle IWC on my own, I know I can.  I made one slip up by joining The Good Movement but with Silas Mason by my side I know I won’t make any more bad decisions.  Now I can go on to make IWC my playground.  Just please, let me have that.   Ok?”

The mother doesn’t like this request.  Not one bit.  “Marie, just please don’t ignore me.  Don’t be stubborn and refuse to ask for help when I’m here to help you.”

“I know you’re here to help, and I will ask you from now on, I promise,” she grins happily “but I have Silas Mason by my side, he won’t lead me astray.   Right?”

The red head nods reluctantly. “Right.  Of course.”

Marie hops up off of the sofa.  “Look, this has been an exciting night and all, but I want to get back to the hotel.  Feel free to drop by later on.  Maybe we can talk some more?  Or have drinks?”

Angelica smiles warmly at her daughter.  “Yeah, drinks sounds good.”

“Love you, mom.” Marie waves goodbye and turns and walks off.  Angelica sighs sadly.

“Love you too, Marie.  Be careful.”

Angelica Jones stares blankly ahead at the door that is now closed.  She wishes she could have said more, she wishes she could have voiced her concerns.  Alas she did not.  She failed.  At least, she feels as if she failed her daughter.  And she isn’t the only one who gets that impression.

“That was touching.”

Angelica turns as she watches Thaddeus Rogers emerge from the bathroom.  Jones immediately glares angrily at her new friend and unexpected visitor.

“How long have you been in the bathroom?”

“The whole time, my dear.” He chuckles lightly. “You and your daughter are sweet.”

Angelica shoots right up off of the sofa. “Imagine how sweet it would have been had she walked in on you?”

“Not very, I imagine.” Thaddeus remarks emotionlessly. “Oh well, I would’ve dealt with it had it come to pass.”

The anger of a mother blazes out. “Leave my daughter alone.”

A half-smile forms on the grizzled, bearded face of Thaddeus Rogers. “Do I sense a tinge of overprotective nature from the mother grizzly?”

“You sense a hell of a lot more than that.”

He reaches out and runs his hand through her long red hair. “I love that emotion.  Keep it up.  It’s that kind of emotion and intensity that will allow you to protect your daughter from Silas Mason.”

Jones rolls her eyes. “You’re nuts.  She doesn’t need protecting from Silas.”

“Oh no?” He raises his eyebrows. “But isn’t that what you truly wanted to warn her about?  I mean, I know I would warn her.  Silas Mason is not a man worthy of being trusted.”

“Like you would know.” Angelica fires back angrily. “He helped in many ways.  He helped get me back to my championship form.”

“Incorrect.” He places a finger on her nose. “You did that yourself.  He may have helped you get title shots or even motivated you …although I would hesitate to say anyone that calls all of his female clients ‘Babies’ is motivational, but that’s just my opinion…but the talent and ability to get the job done came from you.”

“I know that…”

“You do?” Thaddeus doesn’t seem very convinced.  Instead he pressures her further. “I think you still lack a few things, namely self-confidence.  But there’s one other thing you lack with Silas Mason…trust.”

Angelica begins laughing a little bit. “Now you really are reaching, Thaddeus.  I trust Silas immensely.”

“I don’t think you do.  Let’s be honest with ourselves, Angel, how do you really view your relationship with Silas Mason?  I promise not to tell anyone.  I won’t endanger your status in Silas World.”

Angelica hesitates for a moment, not really wanting to address this honestly.  And yet looking into Thaddeus Rogers’ eyes softens her up enough to break down and tell him what he wants to hear, the truth that she has been denying.

“The truth is…me and Silas Mason have a relationship based on trust, trust similar to the trust you and I have, Thaddeus.”

“You and me?” Thaddeus laughs out loud. “We don’t have trust!”

“Yes we do.” Angelica insists.

“We know secrets about one another that would destroy the other’s lives if it got out.  That’s not trust.  That’s mutually assured destruction, a policy that the United States of America and the Soviet Union lived under during the entirety of the Cold War.  That’s not trust, my dear.”

Angelica shakes her head. “Call it whatever you want, but I do trust Silas Mason.”

“I’m glad that you do.” He reaches out with his hands and slowly takes the leather jacket off of Angelica; she doesn’t fight it either. “But there is one thing that you and I have that you and Silas never will have.”

He casts the jacket aside and waits patiently as Angelica slowly strips off the sundress and tosses it aside.  She is now standing there in just her panties and bra.  Thaddeus grins expectantly.

“Hold on just one moment…” he walks over to the door and locks it “…we wouldn’t want to be interrupted, now would we?”

Intense, passionate feelings often times will cause human beings to lose track of their common sense.  Passion, as wonderful as it is, all too often lends the human being to throw logic and reason out of the proverbial window, relying only on emotion.

Relying on emotion is a mistake.

Shaun Cruze, Jake Starr, and Chris Cannon all have one thing in common and that is there passionate hatred for one Silas Mason.  Personally, I have never met the man.  I cannot honestly judge whether that hatred is honestly directed or not.  It is not my place to judge the man or his business practices anyway.

What I will say, however, is that letting yourself become too passionately angry at the man is a mistake, because it will cause you to quit thinking altogether, and instead you will just act purely on emotion.  It is my opinion that Cruze, Starr, and Cannon have all lost any hope of thinking and have begun to act purely on emotion.

They have to know, after all, what is at stake here.  They are all putting their own contracts and careers on the line and for what?  One small chance at getting to punch Silas Mason in the mouth?  One tiny miniscule opportunity to bludgeon the man inside of a steel cage?

Is it really worth  putting your careers on the line, gentlemen, because you have to remember that if you don’t win, then ONE OF YOU will be controlled by Silas Mason, no doubt for the rest of your professional career.

Emotions lead you to do stupid things.  You have done a stupid thing by listening to your emotion and now you will pay for it at the hands of my Angel and her friends, Brittany Lohan and Harmony Fisher.  You will pay when they hand deliver one of your contracts to Silas Mason on a silver platter.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Hi there, I am Marie Annabelle Jones, known in IWC as The Phoenix, and I am the newest member of Silas World.  But more importantly than that, I am the daughter of Angelica Jones.

My mother told me about Silas Mason when I was down in the dumps and needed guidance.  She told me that he could lead me to success.  She told me that, unlike Ethan Von Aaron, he could take me to the championship glory that I so desired.  So I joined Silas World so I could reap the same benefits that Angelica Jones, Brittany Lohan, and Harmony Fisher have all reaped.  I joined Silas World because I wanted to be a part of a winning team.

Silas World always wins in the end.  Certain people in SCW don’t understand that fighting Silas World is like fighting a losing battle.  You cannot win, boys and girls.  Silas World already won once at Under Attack, now another tag team war is about to be sparked, this time with the careers of three men on the line, as well as a match against Silas himself…

…the stakes are higher than before, but still Shaun Cruze, Chris Cannon, and Jake Starr just don’t get it.  They still don’t grasp the concept that they have already lost.  It’s already over, you don’t know it yet.

Three of the best Silas World has to offer against three hotheads, and only one of them can actually be trusted.

Silas World is about to get a new member, I just wonder which one?

“Silas Mason…”

The clicking of heels across a marble floor echoes in the background.  This sounds continues until a lovely female steps into view from stage right in front of a Silas World logo backdrop.  The woman is wearing a knee length black dress, a black leather jacket, and black high heeled sandals.  Her long red hair is left to hang unrestrained to shoulder length.  Sunglasses are covering her eyes.  This woman is The Dragon, The Golden Goddess of Silas World.  This woman is none other than Angelica Jones and a confident smirk is etched across her beautiful face.

“…he is the most wanted man in SCW, isn’t he?”  The ginger chuckles lightly.

“Hell, I’d dare say he is the most wanted man in professional wrestling!  Think about it, whether it’s my daughter wanting to join Silas World, or three ignorant baboons wanting to beat up Silas, the spotlight is clearly shining bright on the most successful manager in professional wrestling today.”

Jones frowns. “That should tell you something.  The fact that the focus is on him so much, in both positive and negative lights, the fact that headline after headline in wrestling today seems to be about him or at least connected him, should tell you something about who Silas Mason is.”

Her right hand clenches into a fist and she holds it up just over her chest. “Power.  Silas Mason is a man of power.  He doesn’t need to bribe champions into joining Silas World, the way Ethan Von Aaron bribed the Queen of the Ring Champion into joining The Good Movement.  Silas Mason takes wrestlers and GUIDES them to championships.  He MAKES people into champions, not the other way around.  And if you want a true example of the kind of power Silas wields…”

Jones spins around one full turn, smiling from ear to ear. “…look no further than The Golden Goddess!  I have brought world championships to Silas World before, but I recently brought an even bigger gift to Silas World.  I bought Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER.  So if you want power, then try and fathom the fact that Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER, a wrestling company, is now under the Silas World umbrella.”

“All of that being said, does it surprise me that Silas Mason has enemies?” The beautiful Dragon shakes her head.  “No, it doesn’t surprise me.  It shouldn’t surprise anyone that a successful man of power has enemies who want him annihilated.”

Jones claps her hands rather sarcastically. “Congratulations!  Congratulations are extended to Shaun Cruze, Jake Starr, and Chris Cannon!  Congratulations on getting the opportunity to play the Silas World Lottery!”

She nods her head. “This is a true lottery, boys, because IF you win, only ONE of you will get that one chance you have been desiring so much, that one opportunity you want so badly; the opportunity to kick Silas Mason’s ass.”

Angelica raises up one carefully manicured finger. “Just one of you has the chance to walk away the winner of the Silas World Lottery.  And that’s if you win, because the fact is that when you climb into the ring against me, Brittany Lohan, and Harmony Fisher, three of the top names in Silas World, three women with great in ring tag team chemistry with one another, three women who know how to get the job done inside of the squared circle, when you look at the challenge you three clowns are faced with, understand that you really and truly cannot win.”

A half grin forms across her face. “Perhaps, then, instead of a lottery this should be better described as Russian Roulette?”

Jones takes off her sunglasses and casts them aside.  “Let me tell you the story of Russian Roulette as told by Georges Surdez.  With the Russian army in Romania, around 1917, some officer would suddenly pull out his revolver, put a single bullet in the cylinder, spin the cylinder, snap it back in place, put it to his head and pull the trigger.”

Angelica points at the camera. “You three are playing a dangerous game of Russian Roulette by facing off against Silas World.  When we win…not if, but WHEN we win…one of you will become property of Silas Mason.”

She shuts her eyes and sighs deeply. “Oh how wonderful it will be for me to give yet another gift to Silas Mason!  I gave her FRONTIER, I brought my daughter into Silas World, and now I will give him one final gift…”

She opens her eyes, grinning. “…either Shaun Cruze, Jake Starr, or Chris Cannon.  All nice and gift wrapped with a bow on top.  Hell, might even throw some glitter in there too in order to really make you look nice and pretty!”

The smile turns into a frown. “Get ready, boys.  Get ready to face complete and utter disappointment because if you think you are fighting for the chance to get Silas inside of a steel cage then you are living in a dream world.  You are not fighting for the chance to annihilate Silas Mason.  You are fighting for your survival.  All three of you have been pains in the ass and when one of you gets pinned and that one person is then forced to join Silas World, you had better believe that you will be buried and humiliated for the rest of your pathetic wrestling career.”

She laughs nastily. “I would welcome you to Silas World, but you won’t enjoy your stay.  I guarantee it.”

Introducing Thaddeus Rogers

==========
January 2012
Off Camera
==========

Angelica Jones shot and killed Sean Williams in cold blood over ten years ago with a bullet to the head.  He hadn’t abused her physically or threatened her life.  His only mistake was doing what any other father in the middle of a bad break up would do; he tried to sue for custody of his child, Marie Annabelle Jones.  That did not sit well with Angelica, especially when it seemed as if Sean was going to win in court and gain custody of Marie.  In a panic, Angelica reacted in knee-jerk fashion, doing the only thing she knew to do, the only thing she knew would make sure Sean Williams would never gain custody of Marie…

…she ended his life.

Angelica Jones put a bullet through Sean Williams’ head, thus ending his life and thus ending his chances of ever gaining custody of their child.  Jones had made it out to look like a suicide and the cover up worked so well for so long…

…until someone found out.  Her arch-nemesis Meagan Collins found out about what happened and informed authorities, not really out of a desire for justice to be done but more to see Angelica get hurt.  To see her rival put away for good.  Meagan had hoped Angelica would get the death sentence after murdering Sean Williams but instead the judge declared Angelica Jones to be mentally unable to stand trial and instead sentenced her to time at a mental institution.  It was there that the red-head has been staying for over a year now.

The routine here at this mental hospital has become mundane and tiresome for Jones.  She’s fed, she gets recreation time, weekly trips to the psychiatrist;  sometimes more frequent than that.  But ultimately the biggest problem for Angelica and what makes this so difficult is that she is away from her children.  She cannot see her precious children, Marie and Jessica.  The youngest of the three, Kelly, who is not yet of legal age to take care of herself, has been put into the custody of Angelica’s sister, Kayla Jones.  But still, nevertheless, she has been unable to see any of her family and it is making her grow worse instead of better.  The insanity is returning.

Another mundane, routine day of psychiatric evaluation is coming today as Angelica Jones, dressed in her typical white pants and white shirt, is being led along the hall by orderlies to an open door.  They shuffle her inside to a room that is, surprisingly, quite empty.  No decorations, no medical instruments…nothing except for a table and two chairs, one across from the other.

The orderlies sit Angelica down at one of the chairs at the table. “Stay here.  The doctor will be in shortly to see you.”

“Yeah, I’ll stay here.” She remarks sarcastically. “Not like I have a choice.”

The two orderlies grunt before turning and walking out of the room.  Jones would like nothing more than to leave and make a break for it, but she knows she’d get caught.  She’d love to jump out of the window, but it’s a several story drop down to the ground.  She wouldn’t survive.  The best Angelica can hope for is to ride it out.

But for how much longer?

The door eventually opens again.  Angelica turns around to see a man in a dark brown suit and tie with a button up white silk shirt underneath.  He looks rather rugged despite his fancy attire, as illustrated by his full beard.  He even has longer hair pulled back into a ponytail.

“Good afternoon, Angelica.” He extends his hand for Jones to shake it but she just stares at it emptily. “My name is Dr. Thaddeus Rogers.”

The red head continues to stare at his extended hand but refuses to accept it.  She’s been burned all too often before by those close to her even, why would she trust a total stranger, and not just any total stranger, but some quack doctor assigned to “help” her during her stay in this mental hospital?

Rogers can tell that his new patient is still wary of him and doesn’t particularly like his presence there.  He understands this as being normal with most new patients but especially with this one.  He nods his head knowingly before pulling back his hand.

“Not very sociable today, are we Angelica?”

The Boston native shakes her head. “No, not today.  Excuse me for not being very sociable around the enemy.”

“The enemy?” Thaddeus sounds a bit perplexed by this, or at least he attempts to sound perplexed and is doing a good job pretending. “Is that how you view all of the doctors and psychiatrists here at this lovely institution, Angelica?  Are they your enemy?”

“They are holding me here against my will, keeping me away from my children.” A low, menacing growl escapes her throat. “You are damn right they are my enemy.”

The well read, astute Dr. Rogers at this time chooses to make himself comfortable, sitting down in a chair across from Angelica.

“At least you are being honest.”

“I call a spade a spade…”

“I have gathered that much from the reports I obtained from your previous psychiatric sessions.” He begins chuckling lightly. “In fact, it reads here that you threw a shoe at your last psychiatrist and scared the poor dolt half to death.”

A sinister grin forms  across Angelica’s face as she remembers that time, one of the few happy moments she had  in this horrible place.

“I remember that…” she closes her eyes “…good times.”

“I’m sure it was quite fun for you but not so much for him.”  Rogers sighs as he shuffles through his paperwork. “What baffles me, though, is your reaction to all of this.  If I may be so bold, Ms. Jones, would you please tell me why you chose to take that sort of route with that psychiatrist and previous ones?”

Angelica narrows her brow, glaring across the table at Thaddeus Rogers, studying him intently before answering him with a question of her own.

“Do you have children, Dr. Rogers?”

He shakes his head. “No, I do not.  I never did find the right woman to settle down with.”

“Then you have no idea…NO IDEA…what I am going through right now!” Angelica’s voice begins to raise a few points higher than normal. “Marie…Jessica…little Kelly…they all need me…”

She points out to the door. “And those people out there, these doctors, they are keeping me here!  Keeping me from my children!”

“Correction, a judge’s order is keeping you here.” A smirk forms on his rugged face. “If they had their way, you’d be long gone.  The doctors here do not seem to care for you that much, Ms. Jones.”

“Yeah?  Well the feeling is mutual.”

“May I tell you a secret?” He leans in close so that he can whisper and only Angelica will hear. “I like you.”

“Huh?” She blinks with surprise. “Repeat that?”

“You heard me.” He leans back in his chair. “I do not need to repeat myself.”

He shoves a piece of paper forward at Angelica, motioning for her to read it.  Jones picks it up and begins reading as Dr. Thaddeus Rogers begins to explain what exactly is going on…

“You have made very good progress indeed, Ms. Jones,” he checks his notes copiously, a smile forming across his face “very good progress indeed.  At least, that is what I am willing to say in my final report regarding your current condition.”

Jones lowers the paper and stares at him. “I don’t need your help.”

“Yes you do.” He states pointedly and definitively. “You murdered your oldest child’s father in cold blood.   Had it not been for your many suicide attempts and faking your own death at one point you would have been sentenced to the death penalty.  You would have been fried.  As it stands now you could spend the rest of your life locked away in this mental institution.  But I can get you out.”

“How?” Jones sounds a bit worried now, knowing that this stranger speaks the truth. “How can you get me out?”

“Like I said, this hospital does not seem to care for you and has been looking  for a way to dump you off onto someone else.  They were just going to transfer you to a new facility but, with a judge’s permission, I have convinced them to allow me to be your…caretaker.  Your overseer, if you will.”

“What does that mean?”

He smiles warmly, confidently. “It means that I would be your legal guardian, primarily for psychiatric reasons.  You would have to continue to check in with me on a regular basis.  But you would otherwise get to live a completely normal life…slightly supervised life, but a normal life nevertheless.”

“Under your supervision?”

He nods his head. “Correct, but trust me, it won’t be that bad.”

He winks. “In fact, it might be quite pleasurable.   Besides, you would get to see your children again.  And isn’t that what you want more than anything else, Ms. Jones?”

She stares deep into his eyes and then back down at the paper he wants her to sign.  He is right, she does want to be with her children more than anything else.  Everything she has done in her life has been for her children.  Even killing Marie’s father was done in a sick and twisted way for Marie’s benefit; at least Angelica believes that.  Why wouldn’t she go this far as well?  For her children.

With that, Angelica takes a pen that Thaddeus Rogers offers her and signs her name.

Good evening, SCW.  You do not know me yet.  I am Dr. Thaddeus Rogers and I am an old friend of Angelica Jones.

Angelica has fascinated me for quite awhile and it is perhaps that fascination that led us to becoming such fast and good friends.  Angelica Jones fascinates me for many reasons but most notably for her ability to flip the switch from beautiful, charming woman to sadistic, take-no-prisoners style warrior with an attitude.

Few can do that successfully and maintain their sanity.  Many try to flip that switch and they lose control but Angelica, my Angelica, has maintained control over herself throughout her life and career.  And that is what has made women, not just my Angelica, so dangerous in this sport.

Just look at the history of female athletes in our industry.  Kelcey Wallace, former world champion.  Syren, current world champion.  Taylor Chase, former world champion.  And then of course there’s my Angelica, a current world champion in her own right.

What makes women so deadly is their ability to flip the switch.  They have the beauty and natural ability t o charm men, and if they are smart they can outwit the brutes as well.  Then when it matters they can flip the switch and become a beast, a deadly feline who will maul their enemy.

That’s my Angelica for you.

David Helms, you are the one with the unfortunate task of having to face my Angelica on Breakdown.  You are the one who will have to attempt to tame the vicious tiger known to you fine people of SCW as The Dragon.

You cannot slay The Dragon.  You cannot tame the beast.  You can only hope to survive it.

==========
Present Day
Off Camera
==========

Angelica Jones is wearing a knee length black skirt and a dark red sweater with black high heeled pumps as she sits in a waiting room at her psychiatrist’s office.  These visits are regular but kept under wraps, kept secret.  Angelica doesn’t want it to get out that she still sees a psychiatrist regularly.  It is part of the deal with the judge that allowed her to be released from the mental institution early.  On this day, though, she isn’t being kept very long.

“Ms. Jones,” a familiar face sticks his head out of the door “I am ready to see you.”

Angelica smiles warmly as she stands up and walks towards the door.  Jones steps inside and shuts the door behind her.  Immediately she is greeted by the warm embrace of Thaddeus Rogers.  The embrace quickly turns more passionate as a kiss between the two ensues.  And that kiss becomes more passionate as they make their way to the sofa, Thaddeus taking charge in the dominant position, slowly and gently, yet also firmly, pushing his patient down onto the sofa.  Rogers gets down on top of her, his hands slowly drift downward, starting to feel up her skirt.

“Oh, Thaddeus…”

“Hush, my sweet; hush and just enjoy the moment.”

“I would but there’s one problem,” she nips at his ear “it’s broad daylight.  What if someone were watching?”

Thaddeus frowns, glaring angrily, not exactly at Angelica but at this entire situation itself.  Despite his desires and passions he realizes that he has to wait to get a piece of Angelica another day.

“Yes, well, I guess we can save the pleasure for another day.”

“You always did have a problem separating business from pleasure.” Angelica winks as she says this.

“Ah, but you ARE my business” he brushes a lock of her long red hair back out of her face “as well as my pleasure.”

“You are such a naughty boy, Thaddeus.”

“And you are a naughty girl.” He remarks. “Killing your poor ex-boyfriend.  You are lucky the courts put you in my care…otherwise you would still be locked away.”

Angelica nods her head in agreement. “True, and you are so lucky that I keep our little relationship a secret.  Otherwise your career could be ruined.”

“Touché.”

“So what do you say we get to the business at hand?” Angelica straightens herself up, straightens her skirt back out, and crosses her legs. “We can save the pleasure for later.”

He nods his head in agreement, pulling up a chair to sit down. “Very well.  I shall get right to business then…I think it is time we make known to the wrestling world just who I am.”

“Oh?” She asks, seemingly very inquisitive. “What brought this on?”

“Wrestling is your passion, my Angel.  I want to be with you and support you as you go through this.  I do not wish to receive it through second hand knowledge such as a television set.”

Angelica looks away from Thaddeus, looking rather nervous. “I guess we could…”

“I detect a hint of disapproval regarding my proposal…”

“You could say that.” Angelica begins pointedly. “I mean, first there’s Lindsey …”

“You two have an open marriage.” Thaddeus remarks with a wry grin. “I do not see a problem.”

“Maybe not, but still, don’t you think she’d get a little jealous?”

“Did you get jealous when Brittany Lohan paraded around with Samantha Raine?”

Jones shakes her head. “No…”

“My point exactly.”

“Yeah, well, Lindsey isn’t the only one who might get jealous.”

A low chuckle escapes his lips. “Ah, yes, I know who you mean.  Silas Mason.”

“You don’t know Silas.  You haven’t dealt with Silas and you don’t want to deal with Silas.” Angelica says in a menacing tone. “He gets very jealous and very possessive.”

“You have little faith in me.” He reaches out and touches her cheek gently. “I may not have a history in dealing with him specifically but I have dealt with his type before.  Besides,” he chuckles “he may take a liking to me.”

Angelica shakes her head. “I still don’t like the idea of you hanging around publicly.”

“You don’t have a choice.” He frowns. “Or do I have to remind you that I could get you locked back up in the mental institution at any time?”

“Right, and I can tell the world about how you took advantage of your patient…sexually?”

He sighs, shaking his head. “We’re at a crossroads then…”

Finally Angelica nods, relenting. “Ok, look, you can hang around.  I do like you, after all, but just…be careful.”

“Careful…is my middle name.”
