First In The Nation

==========
Off Camera
==========

It has been almost a year and a half since Angelica Jones made her debut in Supreme Championship Wrestling.  Most of that time was spent as a member of Silas World, marching in lock step to the orders of Silas Mason, doing as she was told.  Then she spent another good portion of her time in SCW fighting for her freedom from Silas Mason, fighting alongside her daughter Jessica Lasiewicz and Harmony Fisher.  Only after Rise To Greatness, over a year after making her debut in SCW, was Angelica Jones able to focus on what was best for herself and not simply on what was best for someone else.  And with her younger sister Kayla Jones also having made her debut in SCW around the same time, the Boston native was able to achieve a dream.  Angelica has always made it a point in her career as a professional wrestler to fight to be the best in the business.  She has always fought to be at the top of the mountain.  That has always been the case, especially for singles competition.  Jones has done everything possible to stay at the top of the food chain.

Now that she was free from Silas Mason, Angelica Jones had the chance to be the top of the food chain in tag team wrestling, and not just with anyone, but with her sister, Kayla Jones.  A Sisterhood reunion was on the horizon.

Granted, Angelica and Kayla had been tag team champions before, back when Global Division of Wrestling was still operational.  But that was just one title reign.  One title reign means you’re great but not necessarily that you are the best.  Angelica wanted The Sisterhood to be recognized as the best tag team in professional wrestling.  The Sisterhood reunion was about accomplishing that goal and now she reigns with her sister Kayla as the GCW Global Tag Team Champions and, most importantly, as of Under Attack 2015, as the SCW World Tag Team Champions.

It was a rough journey.  First they fought to a standstill against Dawn Lohan and Kordy Price of Blood Grove.  Then they defeated Adrenaline Rush.  Despite this Angelica still didn’t feel worthy to compete against Standing Room Only.  Still she didn’t feel worthy to get the tag team championship opportunity against Donovan Kayl and Simon Lyman.  But worthy or not is irrelevant now.  It is all irrelevant because Angelic and Kayla went into Under Attack, defeated Standing Room Only, and became SCW World Tag Team Champions.

The match at Under Attack featuring Standing Room Only and The Sisterhood was not just a historic victory for the Jones sisters but it was also a historic moment for tag team wrestling, a rare moment that saw wrestling all for the motivation of competition alone and for the revitalization and renewal of tag team wrestling.

It’s been a few weeks now since Angelica Jones and her sister Kayla won the SCW tag team titles and now she’s ready to climb back into the ring.  This time it will be one on one and it will be on Breakdown against Dylan Howell.  But before Breakdown and Howell, she has someone else she has to deal with, another loose end she has to tie up…

…her wife, Lindsey Carter.

Didn’t know Angelica was married?  Yeah, many have forgotten about Angelica Jones and her marriage to Lindsey Carter.  Jones and her marriage to Carter was initially a setup by Angelica and her then ally Meagan Collins, all with the purpose of securing Lindsey’s extreme wealth into their possession via prenuptial agreement.  What no one anticipated, least of all Meagan Collins, was that Angelica would eventually grow to have legitimate feelings towards Lindsey.

Even the most loving of relationships have their bumps in the road.  Many of those so-called “bumps” come as a result of trust, or lack thereof in this case.  At a time when Angelica was being managed by Samantha Hodgson, someone Lindsey did not like, her lovely wife lied to and manipulated Angelica into firing Samantha and signing a contract with Silas Mason.

Needless to say, finding out about how the love of her life lied and manipulated her did not go over well with Angelica Jones and the two have been separated ever since.  Separated being the key term. Lindsey knows she cannot get a divorce because of the prenuptial agreement that gives her entire business empire over to Angelica Jones in the event of a breakup.

This is what brings Angelica out to Boston, Massachusetts, her childhood home.  She wants to meet Lindsey and talk with her before she heads out to Des Moines, Iowa for Breakdown.  The redhead is in L'Espalier, a fancy, luxurious, high scale French restaurant in Boston.  Jones is not a wealthy individual but despite this she still enjoys the finer things in life whenever she can and this particular restaurant has always been one of her favorite spots.  In fact, she and Lindsey went here on one of their first dates.

Jones definitely loves dressing up to the tilt and this restaurant gives her just the excuse to do that.  She is wearing a black gorgeous bodycon dress detailed with a chic lace yoke and V-shaped waist with a wide front and back scoopnecks that lend an air of elegance.  Her feet are encased in matching black high heeled pumps.  Her long red hair hangs unrestrained and straightened to shoulder length.

She sits in a waiting area, a very swank and luxurious waiting area, just outside of the main dining area of the restaurant, waiting patiently on Lindsey.

“Are you waiting for someone, madame?”

“hmmm?”

Angelica is startled to attention as she turns and looks at a waiter, looking on at her.  The small hint of surprise on his face indicates that he didn’t expect to find a lovely lady like her to be sitting her all by herself.

“Oh, yes,” Angelica says, smiling warmly “I am just waiting on a friend.”

Angelica herself even takes note of how she instinctually referred to Lindsey as a friend as opposed to a lover or a wife.  The issue of trust is still there.  And it is a strong issue that Angelica knows that the two of them will have to work through.  The waiter nods and walks away in order to serve other customers.  Angelica returns to her waiting and contemplating….

…the wait is not long…

“Angelica.”

The voice is familiar.  Angelica turns towards the entrance and looks to find that her wife Lindsey Carter has just entered the building.  Lovely Lindsey looks absolutely stunning adorned in a scrolling sequin pattern sleeveless cocktail dress with a crew neckline.  Her feet are encased in black high heeled sandals.

“Lindsey.”

Angelica stands up to face her, eye to eye.  The stare down doesn’t last long before the emotions of the two take over and they embrace in a tight hug.  Upon breaking the hug, a smile forms across Lindsey’s face.

“I’m glad you called.”

Angelica sighs. “You may not be so glad after we’re done talking.”

The brunette shakes her head. “Don’t say that, Angel.  I’ve missed you.”

Despite the awkward situation and her obvious lack of trust right now, Angelica agrees with Lindsey, and a smile creeps across her face.

“Yeah, I’ve missed you too.”

The two take each other’s hands and turn around in time to meet a waiter, ready to greet them.

“Bonjour, mesdemoiselles. Une table pour deux?”

Angelica nods her head. “Oui s'il vous plaît.”

“Très bien. Suivez-moi.”

The waiter turns and leads them into the restaurant.  As they follow, Lindsey leans over to whisper into Angelica’s ear.

“I didn’t realize you spoke French?”

“Imagine that.” Angelica says with a wink.

“Do all waiters here speak French?”

“Some do, some don’t.”

The waiter leads them to a table by a window.  It is small and can only sit the two of them.  A perfect spot, really.  The waiter places two menus on the table and a wine list.  Immediately Angelica takes to the wine list and points to one of the offerings.

“Une bouteille de merlot, s'il vous plaît.”

The waiter nods and walks off to fill the order.  Angelica turns back to look at Lindsey.  Carter smiles at the Boston native.

“All I got out of that was Merlot.”

“Yes, I want some wine.” Angelica smirks. “I might need it.”

Lindsey frowns. “You keep speaking so cryptically.  Quit it.”

“I can’t.”

“But we’re back together.”

“It’s not that simple, Lindsey, and you know it.”

“But…”

“No,” Angelica holds up her hand to silence Lindsey “not until I have my wine.”

It is almost as if Angelica knew it was coming.  Immediately after she makes that statement the waiter returns with a bottle of wine and two glasses.  He places the glasses down onto the table, one in front of Angelica and one in front of Lindsey.  Then the waiter pours some wine into the glasses.  He leaves the bottle at the table as he walks off.  Angelica takes a sip of the wine, places it back down on the table, and then sighs.

“Ok, now we’re ready to talk.”

“Angelica, look…”

“No, Lindsey, you’re going to listen to me.”

Angelica’s voice grows sterner. This is clearly something she has wanted to say for a long time.  Jones takes another sip of wine and then sighs.

“Marriage is supposed to be built upon trust, correct?”

Lindsey nods her head. “Yes.”

“Tell me, then, how can I trust you?” Before Lindsey can answer Angelica continues. “I was being managed by Samantha Hodgson and yes, she was a little homophobic.”

“A little?!” Lindsey exclaims. “She wanted you to disavow me!”

“She claimed it was all for public image purposes.”

“It doesn’t matter.” Lindsey snaps back. “Wrong is wrong.”

“I agree, but I told you I had Samantha under control.  She and I had come to an agreement that she would no longer tell me how to handle my personal life and that she would no longer make any outright homophobic decisions otherwise I would leave .”

Angelica sighs and shakes her head. “I shouldn’t have told you a damn thing but I trusted you with that information.  Turns out you used that information in order to manipulate me into firing her.  You went on to manipulate me into signing a contract with Silas Mason.”

“Angelica, may I please say something?”

“Not yet!”

Angelica exclaims this loud enough that the restaurant hears it.  Angelica’s face grows red with slight embarrassment.  She quiets down as she continues.

“Do you realize what it was like to have Silas Mason controlling my contract?  That bastard damn near broke my sister’s neck!”

“You sure as heel seemed to enjoy being part of Silas World until Kayla returned to your life.”

Angelica shakes her head. “Lindsey, don’t even…”

“No, Angel,” Lindsey says, interrupting Angelica before she can get another word in “you’ve had your time to talk. Now it’s my time.”

Lindsey takes a sip of wine and rests her glass down on the table.

“You said earlier that marriage is based upon trust.  And I agree with you that it should be based upon trust.  And I admit that I wasn’t exactly trustworthy when I lied to you about Samantha and then manipulated you into signing with Silas.”

Lindsey shakes her head. “But I’m not the only one guilty here.”

“What the hell are you talking about?” Angelica questions angrily.

“Have you so quickly forgotten?” Lindsey asks with some shock on her face. “This entire relationship, not just the marriage, was built upon lies!”

She points an accusatory finger at Angelica. “You lied to me!  You conspired with Meagan Collins in order to trick me into marrying you!  You had the prenuptial drew up so that if there was ever a break up you would get everything!  All of it was done to eliminate me as Meagan’s potential business competition.  You want to talk about lies?  You were the first to lie.”

Angelica Jones stares deep into Lindsey’s accusing eyes.  The redhead sighs and nods her head as she realizes Lindsey is right.

“You’re right…”

“Of course I’m right.” Lindsey snaps back. “And you kick me out for lying?  And I come here hoping to make peace and you give me grief in return?”

Carter shakes her head. “It doesn’t work like that, Angelica, and you know it.”

“Maybe this was a mistake.”

“I don’t think so.” Lindsey shakes her head. “We really did develop feelings for one another.  I really did miss you.”

Lindsey reaches out and takes Angelica by her hands. “I just think we need to take things slowly.”

Angelica grins wryly. “It isn’t like we got together like normal couples do…”

“This is true.” Lindsey remarks. “So maybe we should try…dating…”

“Dating?”

Lindsey nods her head. “Yeah.  I’m not ready to move back in with you yet.  I think we should go about this the way normal couples do.  That’s the only way we can reestablish that trust and maybe reestablish that love we had for one another.”

Angelica smiles. “We could try that.”

Lindsey holds up her glass of wine. “To a better future?”

Angelica clinks her glass with Lindsey’s for the toast. “Yeah, to a better future.”

The backdrop is that of the red, white, and blue of the American flag design, waving proudly.  It isn’t long until Angelica Jones steps into the view from stage right.  The Boston native is wearing a black flame design top, black pants, and black wrestling boots.  She is sporting her signature black leather jacket and her long red hair hangs unrestrained and straightened to shoulder length.  Her GCW Global Tag Team Championship belt is draped over her left shoulder and the SCW World Tag Team Championship belt is draped over her right shoulder.

“It has been almost two months now since me and my sister Kayla Jones reunited inside of a wrestling ring.  It has been almost two months since we got together and decided that what tag team wrestling needed was a reunification of The Sisterhood.  And look at what me and Kayla can do in just two months…”

Angelica holds up one title belt and then the other.  Then she looks at the camera and smiles proudly.

“…we are the GCW Global Tag Team Champions.  But you guys probably don’t care about that, do you?  Well guess what?  We’re also the SCW World Tag Team Champions.  Either way you slice it, ladies and gentlemen, as of Under Attack, The Sisterhood dominates the tag team wrestling world.”

She holds both title belts high over her head. “Love us or hate us, it doesn’t matter, you’ll have to learn to love it because we’re going to be the SCW World Tag Team Champions and we are going to be on top of the tag team mountain for a long time.”

Jones rests both title belts back over her shoulders. “Under Attack was a special night for me and not just because I became tag team champion with my sister, but also because of the fact that The Sisterhood and Standing Room Only fought it out, toe to toe, all for the sake of competition.  Imagine that?  A wrestling match where competition and sportsmanship reigns supreme.”

She points a finger at the camera. “Then there’s you, Dylan Howell.”

“It’s ironic, I think, for me to call anyone a bad memory of a bygone era, but that’s exactly what you are.  And it isn’t because of your age.  You definitely have plenty of life left in your career, just as I do.  But you are still the type of scum that gives this industry a bad name.  And I’m going to be the one who takes you out, right here in the great state of Iowa.”

A laugh escapes Angelica’s lips. “Iowa, home of the first in the nation primaries, the state where the presidential race really begins.  I don’t think your poll numbers will go up too high after thousands upon thousands registered voters watch me kick your ass all over Des Moines.”

“In your defense, I would vote for you over Donald Trump, but let’s be serious, you are NOT a legitimate presidential candidate.  No legitimate presidential candidate would be a Kennedy Street lackey.  After all, Dylan, as president which nation should you be representing, the United States of America or Keenie Nation?”

Angelica smirks.”I rest my case.”

“The first in the nation primary voters will get to watch me derail your winning ways and maybe even derail your presidential career after I humiliate you.  By the time I’m done with you, you won’t be able to show yourself in any political circle.  Maybe, just maybe, you’ll still have professional wrestling to return to, but even that won’t last long.”

“So come to Iowa, Dylan, bring your supporters so they can watch they show.  They can watch you step into the ring and stare into the eyes of The Dragon.  You will get to stare into the eyes of a monster that is ready, willing, and able to tear you limb from fucking limb.”

Jones smirks knowingly. “No, that isn’t exactly in the spirit of competition now is it? My sister is nicer than I am.  This is about eliminating and eradicating scum like you.  And Iowa will get to be the first in the nation to witness Dylan Howell get taken apart.”

Competition

==========
Kayla Jones
On Camera
==========

Competition has always been a part of who I am.  My father was a very competitive man, my sister is very competitive, and of course I am competitive as well.  That’s why I decided to become a professional wrestler.  I didn’t get into this sport because of the glory, accolades, or to get cheered and praised, though that is certainly a plus.

I damn sure didn’t get involved in this sport for its health benefits.  I suffered a broken freaking neck because of this sport.  My health has definitely suffered and I definitely lost years from my life because of this sport.

No, none of those reasons are the real reason why I got involved in professional wrestling.  I got involved in wrestling, I got involved in this sport, because of the thrill of competition.  I enjoy matching my wits and my mettle against the best this sport has to offer, and for almost a decade I poured my blood, sweat, and tears into this sport, all for the sake of competition.  I stopped for nothing.  Even after the threat of further complicating my neck injuries.

I thought my career had ended due to my neck complications and injuries but here I am, in Supreme Championship Wrestling, standing by my sister’s side once again and once again it’s about competition, it’s about matching our mettle, matching The Sisterhood up against the best SCW has to offer and right now we are about to be matched up against the very best SCW has to offer…

…Donovan Kayl and Simon Lyman, Standing Room Only.

Kayl and Lyman, this will be an honor for us.  It will be an honor for us to compete against you for the world tag team championship and it will be our honor, along with you, to bring a sense of competition back to professional wrestling and to help revitalize tag team wrestling as a whole.

But make no mistake about it, Angelica and I have our eyes set on the prize, we want what you have, and we’re going to do whatever it takes to get it.

Prepare, boys, prepare to have your teeth kicked right down your throat.

“It is nice to have valid competition; it pushes you to do better.” --- Gianni Versace

Giovanni Maria Versace was an Italian fashion designer and founder of Versace, an international fashion house, which produces accessories, fragrances, make-up, and home furnishings as well as clothes.  His company is still widely popular to this very day.

Now Angelica and Kayla Jones do not consider The Jones Wrestling Family to be professional wrestling’s equivalent to Versace.  Far from it.  But they are among the most talented in the sport and they have accomplished a great deal individually in the sport.  No matter what they may think of Angelica and Kayla Jones, other wrestlers as well as the fans themselves all respect the Jones family for what they have done in the sport and for the sport.

So can you argue that The Sisterhood is pro-wrestling’s Versace?  Perhaps, but that really isn’t the point.  The real point is that Angelica and Kayla both agree with Gianni Versace’s opinion on competition.  Competition, according to The Sisterhood, is a good thing, because it pushes them to become even better, it pushes them to become the absolute best.

It’s widely known that Angelica Jones’s drive in the pro-wrestling business is to be the best.  Thus, competition for her is important.  Angelica wants to wrestle the best athletes that the industry can put in front of her so that she can defeat them and prove herself to be the very best in the sport.  And while you may not think about it, even Kayla Jones herself has a strong desire to push herself to be the best.  But Kayla’s drive, unlike her older sister’s, is centered primarily on being the best she can be.

Needless to say, Angelica and Kayla Jones make a great tag team.  Together they have been GDW World Tag Team Champions and GCW Global Tag Team Champions.  But those accolades mean little to nothing in Supreme Championship Wrestling where the two sisters have once again reunited in a quest to win a third tag team championship.  Already they battled Blood Grove to a standstill, they defeated Adrenaline Rush, and now they have been granted the opportunity they have been seeking…

…a chance to become SCW World Tag Team Champions in a match against Simon Lyman and Donovan  Kayl of Standing Room Only.

Competition has always driven the Jones family, competition has always pushed them to better themselves so that they can always remain at the top of the mountain in pro-wrestling, among their other crusades.

Competition has driven Kayla Jones through everything in her life, not just her in-ring career.  Not one to flaunt her wealth, you would have no idea that Kayla Jones is the owner of her own company.  Jones Wrestling Incorporated is a small company that focuses primarily on wrestling, specifically Kayla’s managerial career being the agent of several pro-wrestlers in the industry, but also has a small wing that focuses on modeling.

This is what brings the younger member of The Sisterhood back to Boston, Massachusetts, over a week before Under Attack, where she and Angelica Jones will challenge for the SCW World Tag Team Championships.

The clicking of her black high heeled pumps echoes as she walks the plain off white halls with brown oak laminate floor.  A cell phone is pressed to her ear.  The red head is wearing a stunning long sleeve three-button metallic jacket and a pencil silhouette lace skirt that s tops just at the knee.  Her long red hair hangs down straight and unrestrained to just below her shoulders.

“You are kidding me?!”

Jones is clearly upset as she continues her match down this hall in this rather small building in Boston, Massachusetts.  This corporation of Kayla’s is still quite small and cannot afford much.  This building itself is two stories and does the job Kayla needs it to do.  Barely any furniture has been moved in and she has hired only person to assist her; a secretarial assistant named Lizzie James.  It is a small, humble start to a company, but Kayla is determined to not only make it work but to make it a powerhouse.  The spirit of competition that lives within her and drives her wouldn’t have it any other way.

“Are you sure that’s what the contract says?”

The red head gets to the end of the hall and pushes open a door marked “Kayla Jones”.  She steps inside and lets the door shut behind her.  She turns and starts to head towards her large wooden oak desk but sitting there in the comfortable black leather rolling chair is her older sister, Angelica Jones, wearing denim jeans, flip flops, and a black “SCW” t-shirt.  Her long red hair is pulled into a ponytail in the back.

“Hi, sis!”

Angelica waves playfully but Kayla isn’t too pleased right now, not with the bad news she’s receiving on the phone.  She holds a hand up to Angelica, signaling her to be quiet as she finishes talking on the phone.

“Fine, I guess that leaves me with one alternative.”

Angelica furrows her brow as she listens intently to what Kayla is saying, trying to figure things out.

“Yeah, bye.”

Kayla hangs up her cell phone and frustratingly drops it onto the cushion of a nearby chair.  Kayla walks over to her desk, where Angelica is seated, and glares at her.

“If you don’t mind…”

“Actually I do.” Angelica says with a sheepish grin.

“Actually, I don’t care.”

Angelica shrugs her shoulders as she gets up out of the chair.  Kayla walks over and sits down in the black leather chair at her desk.  Angelica meanwhile goes to the other chair in the room and sits down.  Upon sitting she quickly realizes she is sitting on her sister’s cell phone.  She takes the phone and tosses it to Kayla who easily catches it and places it down upon the desk.

“Thanks…”

Kayla’s voice trails off and illustrates the frustration she is feeling right now.  Angelica tilts her head to one side as she studies her out of concern.

“Are you ok?”

“Not exactly.”

“What happened?”

Kayla places her hands together and then sighs as she rests her head in her hands.

“I may have lost a client.”

“Who?”

“Allison Lorraine.” Kayla answers back. “She agreed to a match against Marie in which she’d join Ginger Nation if she lost…and of course Allison lost.”

“Marie?  As in my daughter?”

Kayla nods her head lightly. “That’s the one.”

“Marie is a damn good wrestler.  Allison should have never agreed to that match.”

“I know and I told her this but she wouldn’t listen to me.”

Angelica frowns. “You could have just stopped her.”

“I know I could have, and maybe I should have, but that’s not the way I do things.  I don’t want to throw my weight around and force my clients to bend to my will.  I’m not Silas Mason.”

“Maybe you should have been.” Angelica retorts. “You wouldn’t have lost Allison.”

“I may not have lost her.” Kayla says hopefully. “I can talk to Marie and find out what her plans are for Allison.”

“Good luck with that.” Angelica says with a smirk on her face.

“Yeah, thanks….”

Kayla’s voice again trails off as she thinks about the prospects of talking to Marie Annabelle Jones, her niece and Angelica’s oldest daughter.  Marie is very talented but she inherited a great many of the bad personality traits from her mother.  She can be very hard to deal with at times and that is why Kayla does not look forward to dealing with her.

“Look, sis,” Angelica says as she begins to try to cheer Kayla up “all isn’t lost.”

“I know, I know,” Kayla says nodding “I still have Hayley Gold and Gabriela Austin, the GCW World Tag Team Champions, as well as the modeling wing of the company.”

Angelica shakes her head vehemently. “That’s not what I mean.”

The elder Jones stands up and makes the famous title belt motion around her waist.

“SCW World Tag Team Championships!”

Angelica walks over to the side of Kayla’s oak desk.  She snatches her sister by the hands and jerks her up to her feet so that they are eye to eye.  Kayla grins.

“What exactly do you have in mind?”

What did Angelica have in mind, exactly?  Training.

The sounds of a female grunting as well the echoes of feet against a heavy bag are heard throughout an empty gymnasium on the outskirts of Boston, Massachusetts.  The concrete floor is gray and the walls are painted an off-white color, at least the walls that still have paint on them, as most of the paint on the walls have begun to peel.  There is a standard wrestling set up in the center, weights scattered all over the floor.  At one of the far ends of the room is a red heavy bag.  The lovely Kayla Jones is standing there at the heavy bag dressed in a pair of workout shorts, black tanktop, and her long red hair pulled into a ponytail in the back, as she viciously attacks the heavy bag with her well-educated feet.  Nearby Angelica Jones, the elder of the two Jones sisters, is doing sit-ups.  She is wearing a pair of black adidas windpants and a plain white t-shirt with tennis shoes.  Her hair is also pulled into a ponytail in the back.

Angelica has been going to war in SCW for quite awhile now and knows to expect anything and to prepare for anything.  Angelica knows about the level of competition in SCW; easily the best competition she’s ever had to deal with.  Kayla, on the other hand, only recently returned to in-ring action. The younger sibling has had two matches since her SCW debut; a match with Angelica against Blood Grove, another one against Adrenaline Rush, and now this one coming up at Under Attack against Simon Lyman and Donovan Kayl, better known as Standing Room Only.

It really has been quite the whirlwind ride for Kayla Jones.  So soon after making her in-ring return she’s already competing for the SCW World Tag Team Championships at a major pay per view offering.  Kayla knows that she and Angelica will be in for a tough fight.  It’s been a long time coming for the Jones sisters, but now they are on their way to potentially becoming SCW World Tag Team Champions.

“997…998…999…1,000!”

Angelica hops up off of the floor, reaching over and snatching her white towel before she does so.  Angelica wipes the sweat from her brow.  Her sister Kayla snickers as she continues kicking hard at the heavy bag.

“What’s so funny?” Angelica asks.

“One thousand sit ups, sis?”

“Of course.  That’s normal for me.”

Kayla ceases striking the bag.  She places her hands on her hips and stares at Angelica suspiciously.

“You’re lying.”

Angelica smiles knowingly. “Ok, fine…you got me…I only did one hundred.”

Kayla rolls her eyes and then resumes striking the heavy bag. “Riiiiight.”

“I’m serious!”

“Of course you are.”

Angelica steps in front of the bag. “I’m just glad you and I have made it.”

“Made it?” Kayla asks inquisitively. “You won your first title back in 2003.  I won my first before that.”

“No, no, no,” Kayla shakes her head “I mean as a tag team.”

“Yeah, well we did that three years ago.”

“Yeah, but you…”

Angelica’s voice trails off.  Kayla stops striking the bag again and stares at Angelica.

“Just stop.”

“Huh?”

Kayla shakes her head. “I know where you’re going and I don’t want to hear any of it.  Just because I have a bum neck doesn’t make me any special and it doesn’t make this any more special than it already is.  I’m just doing what any other athlete, what any other competitor would do in my situation.”

“Yeah, but no one thought you would ever compete again.” Angelica smiles warmly. “Yet here you are…”

“Here WE are,” Kayla corrects her “we are here heading into Under Attack to wrestle for the SCW World Tag Team Championships.  Not just me, not just you.  Us…The Sisterhood.”

Moonlight shines down upon the SAP Center in San Jose, California.  The moonlight is the only light that we get.  We cut from the outside to the inside and we find that it is worse inside, as darkness envelopes the insides of this arena that will, very shortly, host SCW Under Attack.  Thousands upon thousands of seats that number close to eighteen or nineteen thousand, seats on ground level that lead all the way up to balcony and nose bleed section seats, all encircle what appears to be a wrestling ring set up in the center where a lone singular spotlight shines down, creating the only light in this arena at the present moment.

“Welcome to San Jose, California…”

The camera begins to zoom in, getting a closer and closer look at the wrestling ring.  As our camera view begins to come in clearer and clearer, closer and closer, we begin to notice that two figures are standing in the center of this wrestling ring.

“…this great city and this great arena, also nicknamed the Shark Tank, is going to host SCW’s next pay per view offering, Under Attack…”

Our view gets closer and closer until eventually we can see that this is Angelica Jones and Kayla Jones, better known as The Sisterhood, the number one contenders to the SCW World Tag Team Championships.  And to say that they are dressed to kill would be an understatement…

Angelica Jones, the eldest of the Jones sisters, is wearing an elegant knee length purple short lace dress that features a sleek form fitting silhouette with a scalloped edge on the V-neckline and sheer long sleeves.  A sprinkle of sequins are scattered throughout to add just the right touch of sparkle.  The younger sibling is wearing a figure-flattering short lace dress that features a sheer mesh insert that accentuates her trim waistline.  The sheer hemline on the hip-skimming pencil skirt adds to the glamor and a delicate sheer lace covers the romantic cutout back.  Both women are wearing black high heeled sandals.

“…and right here in The Shark Tank…”

“Wait, Shark Tank?” Angelica pipes in, interrupting Kayla. “You mean like the TV show?”

Kayla shakes her head. “No, nothing like the TV show.”

Angelica snaps her fingers out of disappointment. “Darn, and I was hoping to meet Mark Cuban.”

The younger Jones rolls her eyes. “Riiiiight…anyway, right here in the Shark Tank, SCW will bring to you live Under Attack, where we will witness not just a revival or a mere revitalization, but a true showcase of tag team wrestling.”

Kayla holds up five fingers from her right hand. “Five…that’s right, count ‘em, FIVE tag team matches on Under Attack, all with registered teams!”

“So says, SCW.”

Kayla shoots her older sister a curious glare. “You DID read the Under Attack card, right?”

Angelica nods. “Yup!”

Kayla sighs out of frustration. “Yeah, anyway, five tag team matches and the piece de resistance is going to be when The Sisterhood steps into the ring!”

“HEY!”

“What’s wrong?” Kayla asks.

“I’m supposed to be the arrogant one!” Angelica says, pretending to pout.

“Fine then,” Kayla motions to the camera “go ahead and brag.”

“Thanks, sis!” Angelica turns to face the camera and grins. “As my sister was saying, this is about me and Kayla, this is about The Sisterhood.  Nearly three years ago we came together, we tag teamed together for the first time and we took the tag team world by storm becoming the GDW World Tag Team Champions.  Three years later we reunited and again we took the world by storm, becoming GCW Global Tag Team Champions, battling Blood Grove to a standstill, and then came Adrenaline Rush…”

Angelica chuckles lightly. “Tucker, Thomas, you boys gave us a good fight, but quite frankly, we were better.  You did your best but your best wasn’t good enough.  Now you’re out of luck and me and my sister are a date with destiny.  We are now on a date with the SCW World Tag Team Champions Donovan Kayl and Simon Lyman.”

Kayla’s face contorts. “Date?”

“Not THAT kind of date, sis.”

“Oh…”

Angelica grins. “That’s right, boys, you two are next up on the list and this time the stakes are higher for The Sisterhood, because we want to walk away with those belts of yours.”

“This match is going to be epic for a great many reasons,” Kayla begins “not just because this is tag team wrestling renewed, but also because this is our opportunity, our as in an opportunity for The Sisterhood AND Standing Room Only, to have a match that is driven by  competition alone and not by hate.”

“I still think matches not driven by hate are boring.”

“Shut up.”

Angelica olds her arms over her chest. “Fine.”

“As I was saying, this match is driven by competition and not by hate.  This is about two tag teams, two of the best tag teams in Supreme Championship Wrestling, fighting to see who is the best tag team in the company.”

Kayla points a finger at the camera. “Right now, you are the best because you hold the tag team championships, but there’s a little something about me and Angelica, a little something called motivation and that motivation is the drive to be the best.  We want to be the best, we have to be the best, and right now, to be the best we have to defeat Standing Room Only.”

“And we take that challenge extremely seriously.” Angelica chimes in. “Three years ago Kayla and I started this journey, three years ago we set out to prove that she and I, The Sisterhood, were the best tag team in professional wrestling, and now at Under Attack we have the opportunity to prove it.”

“Our reunion tour began three years ago,” Kayla begins “and it all comes to a head right here in San Jose, California at Under Attack.  The reunion tour is going to be completed at Under Attack when The Sisterhood faces Standing Room Only, when we kick your teeth, right down your throat!”

My sister and I have spoken of competition, but competition means different things to both of us.  Kayla just wants to strive to be the best she can be and that’s good for her.  But for me it’s different.  For me, competition means something different.

I have to be the best at what I do, whether it’s one on one, or tag team, standard match or hardcore, it doesn’t matter what situation SCW puts me in, I have to know that I am the best, not just in this company but in the whole damn sport.  So needless to say, I find myself even m ore motivated than before when I find myself in a situation where I have to face off against someone who is supposedly better than me.

Donovan Kayl and Simon Lyman, as of right now you are THE best tag team in Supreme Championship Wrestling.  Right now you are supposedly better than every tag team  in this company and every tag team includes The Sisterhood.

That’s where you and I have a problem.

I am motivated to compete, yes, but my competitive drive is about proving myself to be better than everyone else and I am not going t o just sit around and let you two walk around with the SCW World Tag Team Championship belts because I firmly believe that those belts belong to us…

…it’s just a matter of taking them from you.

At Under Attack, The Sisterhood will take the SCW World Tag Team Championships, we will take our spot as the best tag team in the industry today, and we will take a victory from you.
